Bonzi Wells know he has a serious problem & so does Rasheed. Portland's management has got to get rid of Rasheed & Bonzi cause those dudes are a problem on the team & they're gonna continue to be head cases until they are cut from the team. Bonzi knows damn well he shouldn't be cursing out Maurice. I wonder what made him so angry he had to curse him out. I'm guessing he probably didn't wanna come out of the game this past Monday when Portland played Dallas. Bonzi might've felt like if he would've stayed in the game when he got taken out that Portland might've had a chance to win. I feel Bonzi's pain cause if i was a player, i would be mad too if a coach pulls me out of a game when i know i can contribute to the team. But i would never curse at a coach.

I heard on the local news last night that the reason he was taken out was because he kept taking outside shots that were way out of his range, and missing them. Apparentely Maurice Cheeks told him to stop shooting them, but when Bonzi refused to listen, that's when Cheeks took him out of the game, and where the argument began. Bonzi was a co-captain on the team along with Rasheed prior to last nights game, but after his childish behavior last night, he is no longer a co-captain. I'm surprised Bonzi would be cursing anyone out with the way he's been playing this year, especially the coach. After hearing Cheek's comments about the situation after the game, I doubt Bonzi will be here much longer. Good riddance!

To be honest, I would lose my temper if somebody was being overbearing and condescending toward me!!

EricIdleFan what are u talkin about? Maurice isn't overbearing & condescending. If the coach tells a player to do something, the player should do it. The players aren't running the team, the coach is.

Exactly!!! That's what a coach is for. If I was shooting shots way out of my range, and clanking one after another, I'd want someone to tell me to settle down. Infact that's happened to me many times before when I use to be on my school basketball team. My coach would tell me to settle down, and I'd listen. And if I didn't, which happened one time, he rightfully took me out of the game, and I kept my mouth shut about it. Why? Because I was the one in fault for disobeying my coach, (The team leader). The only condescending people on the blazers by the way, are many of their players. Coach Cheeks is one of the least condescending people Iv'e ever seen, and their was nothing condescending about his behavior on Monday night, he was just doing his job. A player never has the right to cuss out the coach, especially a player who's only been in the league for a few years, and isn't even that great.

My answer to that is no but i wish i would've. Playing in the NBA has always been a dream of mine but i never worked towards that goal. I wish i was taller than i what iam. I'm only 5'10 & i weigh 175 pounds. I play big for a small guy though. I rebound a lot & score a lot whenever i play ball at the park during the summer. But i get tired very easily running up & down the court. I guess that's due to not exercising on a daily basis & not eating the right foods. I feel bad for players who have to sit the bench forever on NBA teams cause i know the majority of the players in the league have talent. It's just that the coaches don't play them like they should. For example, Desagana Diop who plays for Cleveland has a lot of talent. He's a very good shot blocker & rebounder in the limited minutes he gets. He's more physical than Zydrunas. Juan Dixon is another example of a player who hardly played for Washington last season. He was the bomb when he played for University of Maryland. Now he's getting a lot of minutes this yr under Eddie Jordan. For some reason Doug Collins & Michael Jordan didn't wanna play him a lot last season. I feel bad for a lot of basketball players across the country who have to play in other basketball professional leagues except the NBA cause the NBA is everybody's dream. Foreigners are starting to takeover the NBA & that's scary cause if more foreigners continue to get drafted more than american players, american players are going to get very upset. I'm sure they're upset now.

I wish I would have played more organized basketball too. The only year I played was in the 5th grade. Everyone use to always ask why I wasn't on the team when they'd play against me, but for some reason I never did. The NBA was always my dream too, but like you, I probably wouldn't have been tall enough to make it anyway. I know what you mean about players who never get much of a chance to play. I'll bet their have been many players over the years who have retired on the bench, but could have been one of the greats. Too bad there isn't more than one pro American basketball league, that way more people could show off their talent. On the bright side though, atleast these bench warmers make millions of dollars, and can live comfortably for the rest of their lives if they don't do anything stupid. That's got to soften the blow of not getting a chance to live up to their full potential.

If Michael Adams, Avery Johnson, Muggsy Bouges, Spud Webb, Earl Boykins, Dana Barros can play in the NBA, so can we Mdntrider7 LOL. Height has nothin to do with how good u are. Muggsy Bouges was the shortest player in NBA history at 5'3. What other short NBA players have there been over the yrs? I think Calvin Murphy who played for the Houston Rockets back in the day was only 5 foot something & John Lucas was also a short player in the NBA back in the day. I miss John coaching the Cavs. His facial expressions on the sidelines would crack me up. He's got a job with the Dallas Cowboys now. I've seen him on the sidelines standing behind Bill Parcells.

Both of them don't want to be team players but the STARS on the team. Seems like Bonzi doesn't want to carry his weight with the other lesser known but hardworking and publicity shy players. Your coach is like your boss!! You may have your differences and not see eye-to-eye but still, whatever your coach says and does goes and rules.

Well Bonzi got traded from Portland to Memphis for Wesley Person & a 2004 first round draft pick Mdntrider7. So u got your wish LOL. I just saw this on ESPN website. Memphis is gonna be even better now but i don't think Bonzi will like coming off the bench. I doubt it if he will start in Memphis.

Yep, I just heard about this a couple hours ago, and truthfully I couldn't be happier. FINALLY, the blazer front office has done something to show the fans that their is hope for this team's future. I heard that along with cussing Cheeks out a couple weeks ago, Bonzi also flipped off the fans. We definitely don't need, or want someone like that on this team! The front office gave him chance, after chance, after chance, and he's shown that his behavior on this team most likely was never going to change. Hopefully the firing of Bonzi will set a precedent for the rest of the team, that if they don't obey the rules, and if they continue to totally disrespect the fans, they too will get sent to a crappy team, just like Bonzi did. If that doesn't stop their bad behavior, then they'll have thousands of blazer fans happily waving goodbye! :wave:

BTW, as Isiah said, along with Wesley, the blazers also get a first round draft pick from Memphis, so in the long term I think talent wise, the blazers will only be better!

I'm guessing he will be a starter for Memphis, but I may be wrong. I think the Blazers are a better, and much more talented team overall than Memphis, and until recently Bonzi started for us, so he'll probably start for Memphis too.

I think Memphis is better than Portland talent wise. Memphis is loaded with good players. They got Pau Gasol, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, James Posey, Jason Williams, Lorenzen Wright, Earl Watson, Stromile Swift & now they got Bonzi. Look out for Memphis. They might make the playoffs this yr.

When a player acts up, not only does he make himself look bad but the whole entire team!!!
