Old rubbish US sitcoms being released on DVD.
There are harldy any modern US comedies being released on DVD.
Modern meaning sitcoms from the 90's.

Because 90's sitcoms haven't been off the air that long... sheesh, calm down. Wait a few years.

Actually, there seems to be a lot of current TV shows out on DVD already. I agree with Peter though. Where is Wings on DVD? Cheers and Frasier are out, and Wings is from the same people, so why hasn't that been released?

Only the more popular, long-running sitcoms are out on DVD... Wings wasn't that popular. Why spend money making DVD's of it if it won't sell?

It was popular enough to last 8 seasons and spend many years in reruns on USA, before it's distasterous stay on N@N. I do understand what you're saying however, I know Cheers and Frasier are more popular, and would probably sell more. I just thought I'd defend one of my favorite shows.
And long running has nothing to do with it. Just look at "My Big Fat Greek Life." (I use that example alot;) )

WINGS will probably come around the time of the 4th Season of Cheers and Frasier (IMO), that way.... the 3 shows will be released on the same day, with every release.... and the final seasons of all 3 shows will come on 1 day.
Thats the smartest way IMO
Expensive, but smart.

I think they're starting with the old shows first, then working its way towards the newer ones.
