I just got done listening to it for the first time. Here are my thoughts.

There are a few things here and there (vocal flubs; etc.) that have been digitally manipulated. That should have never happened, but luckilly, there are only a few instances I notice it ocurring on during the album.

I do like what I hear, though. It's unfortunate that all four Beatles didn't have input on the original Let It Be from 1970, but we now have two different versions of the album. We have the John-George version, and we have the Paul-Ringo version. It's kind of equal time, and I think Paul feels some closure with that.

The new album is very well-produced, and is a must-have for all die-hard Beatle fans. John Lennon Lives, laceyinthesky, and Penny Lane, I'm looking in your direction when I say that.

I also bought the "Lennon Legend" and "Concert For George" DVDs, but I haven't checked them out yet.

Forgive me AKA, for I have sinned. I did not pick up the CD today, but I'll say three hail marys and get it tomorrow.

You are forgiven, my son.

I almost couldn't afford it (bills and stuff), but I sold a whole bunch of my old DVDs and CDs that I didn't want anymore, and voila - Hastings store credit. And a lot of it. $160 of it. That's how I was also able to afford "Lennon Legend" and "The Concert For George."

Remind me to stop being poor tomorrow. After you get the CD.

I haven't gotten it yet either! I was told through my family grapevine that I will be getting it for Christmas. We'll see! :happyface

I picked it up yesterday & only skimmed through it so far. Weird to see Let It Be w/o Maggie May & Dig It. I thought they might put on the full version of Dig It. I like 'Long & Winding Road' a lot. I do remember hearing this or a similar version in the movie & like many others, I've also heard that version of 'Across The Universe'....somewhere. ;)
Otherwise, apart from the exclusion of those 2 songs & the stripped down Long & Winding Road', 'Universe' & "I Me Mine", it's more or less like the 1970 Spector-produced album. And like I've said in the past, I knew they'd eventually put out at least *some* studio chatter. That's always fun to hear. Hopefully in the future they'll put more chatter out.

But damn- I think I like this one better! Better sound too, of course. This cd is The Beatles, dammit. Beautiful!

If I could get the CD sometimes, I would listen to the long version of "Dig It!" which was certainly used in the movie.

(I have the 45 of it .... The longest song I have on 45! (Over 8 mins))

I cant stand this digital trash ruining our beautiful analogue media!!

My mom always wanted this album since it came out but it was never on sale because she likes The Beatles and we only got one album. What makes this version of the Let It Be album different and special? Does it have remixes of unreleased Beatles songs and will it have interludes with a lot of talking? Because Mom dislikes talking intros in albums
