I saw that chicoholic who I think is Joy won this item...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3565839996&category=1145&rd=1

I hope you will be able to share it with us.

Does anyone know who sahnya might be????

They won
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3565208503&category=1145&rd=1

and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2570130255&category=18840&rd=1

I was wondering if it might be someone here and if they would be willing to share.

Alas I have no more money for these things. I found two more magazines up for bid too, but again, no money :(

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2242&item=3567131874 (chicoholic has a bid on this one)

And this unusual item:

You are right about those cards, Lucky--interesting! Do you--or anyone else here--have the computer capability to blow up that one with his pic on it so we could read the rest of the words besides "Roxy Theatre"? Thanx mucho in advance to anyone who can help!

They will sell anything these days. That was unsual. I wonder who Sanyha is too?

That person spent a bundle on the Chico script. I need to be a MILLIONAIRESS........

My name on eBay is biographgirl, but I'm not sure if it's even active anymore, since I haven't done any trading on there in a pretty long time.

And I saw those cards first thing this morning; they kind of freaked me out, to be honest, and I was going to post about them, but I didn't know how everyone would react.

Mariposa, I will try when I get home!

OMG I know re the script. That is a lotta bread for a script. It said it was a used one, I wonder who used it?!?!?! (could be Freddie! :D)

3567126302 ebay item I put a bid on and am winning so far. Yes. I have a fairly new ebay user name. "Timeuptimedown". I went by my former self. Then when I was on a tight budget and didn't want to bid any more then I dropped out. But I am back again on occasion

I too want to see the Roxy Theatre pic at a larger size. He is cute there. Didn't realize timeuptimedown was anyone from here...

This is the best I could do on photoshop, I enlarged it and tweaked the levels, changing it to a grey scale. I was trying to see the print, so the pict of Freddie isn't the best. It looks like a list of coming shows in January. I can make out the pointer sisters and the Hollies. Maybe you all can see more than I can. This was the best I could do. I can tweak it again to get Freddie at his best if anyone wants me to!

I could make out all but one other name besides what you did, Lucky. Here they are in order (except the ones already mentioned):

Kenny Rankin
Franklin Ajaye
Gil Scott-Herron
Lonnie Liston Smith
Etta James
Atlanta Rhythm Section
New Riders of the Purple Sage
(the one I can't make out)
Rufus - Chaka Khan
Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes
Manfred Mann's Earth Band

Anyone else figure out what the name is after NRPS?

With my version, you can see the middle word is Brown. Can't really make out the other 2 words.

Franklin Ajaye played Dellas son on an episode of CATM after Freddie died. Kind of an interesting coincidence his name is behind Freddie on the sign there. I'd love to see a clearer copy of this. He looks hot in it...

That is one awesome picture...I hope Dani can do some magic with it.

Joy

I have the picture and the grave card in that thread, it is just a picture of Freddie's crypt with his name plate.

here is the listing behind him in the picture:
The roxy theater-coming in Jan
the pointer sisters
Kenny Franklin
Franklin Ajaye
Gil scott Herron
Lonnie liston smilth
Etta james
Atlants Rhythm section
New Riders of the purple sage

Stanky Brown Gro-(that's all that's visible)
Rufus-Chaka Kahn
Fresh
Herald Melvin and the blue not(that's all that's visible)
The Hollies
Manfred Mann
Earth Ba(that's all that's visible)
coming soon
Mary Mac Gregor

On the back it reads:

For several generations these talented people have enterta9ined us all. It makes no difference if they have a small marker, a large monument or monolith. Some of them were great stars, some of them were fallen stars, some of them were going to be stars, and some of them never made stardom because their end came to soon.
But all of them entertained us. Now in celluloid these legends will be enjoyed for generations to come. They all choise to be in the public eye during life, now they are memorialized forever after death.

I'm just curious -- does anyone know when that picture of Freddie was taken? I mean, does "Coming in Jan" mean coming in January 1977?

I know, I know, sometimes I tend toward the morbid.

Joy
11-19-2003, 12:06 PM
I'm just guessing here as it doesn't say the year but by the look of the picture Freddie is very thin, and to me he looks older than 22 there so i would guess it is very near the end of his life...this is just a guess mind you.

victorianscribe
11-19-2003, 12:11 PM
But I would tend to agree with you, Joy, since he is very thin, and looks older than his age. Poor guy.

Pobricito Freddie :(

Cheryl Harrell

I too now wonder when the pic was taken. I'd love to see a larger, clearer version of it. Manfred Mann
Earth Ba(that's all that's visible) is probably Manfred Mann's
Earth Band. They had out in the 60's without the Earth Band behind it, the song DO WAH DIDDY. Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy do. Hope I got that right. In the 70's they added the Earth Band to their name & had out the hit BLINDED BY THE LIGHT. Sounds like some name acts were appearing there. Even tho he may be near the end he still looked cute. What a hot tamale!!!!

I really don't think Freddie was ever too thin at all. True he was heavier on the first season...but as each season passed he just got taller and lost his baby fat and turned into a very handsome young man. I thought he was gorgeous by the third season and just had a growth spurt from 19 to 22. I know everyone prefers him heavier, but to me...he was one hunk during the 3rd and final season of the show. I think because of the circumstances of his death, we have a tendancy to look for things and speculate a little bit more. Anyway, there's my two cents..for whatever it's worth...LOL.

I'd have to agree with you Macca. I always thought Freddie in the later seasons with his taller, long hair, and some what more mature self was a real turn on.. I love his mood swings on the show as well. He was more dramatic then too.

I suppose we all have our own opinions and tastes in men. I personally like a guy with a little meat on the bone. And if nailed to the wall, I would have to say the second season Freddie is my ideal in weight and looks. But I don't really care what season or weight he was..... he was one gorgeous hunk of man, I would take him anyway I could. SIGH!!!!!:happyface :loveya:  :eyes: :biglove:

I have to agree with macca I love him long and lean! the third season is my favorite and i thought he was especially handsome in the black tie blues episode in case anyone needed wallpaper ideas! (LOL)

Eagle Eyed Mariposa noticed that those picts on Ebay are backwards! I did my little photoshop magic on them and now they are facing the correct way. She noticed that his part and lazy eye were on the wrong side..... I guess they printed these with the negative facing backwards!

Hi everyone--I have the Chicago Tribune article somewhere in all my stuff. I lived in Illinois, near Chicago, when Freddie passed away. It's not with my Freddied scrapbook so I'll have to dig around for it. I might not get to it right away but I promise I'll find it! Take care. Kathy:wave:
