Beh. My ex-best friend is coming home from college for Xmas (she's attending college in NY and I'm over here in ND), so if she tries calling me up, well, it's not gonna work. I didn't tell her I moved, so my old phone # won't work. :mrt: Plus, the place I'm at now, my mom has a cell phone and we don't have a regular phone line (aka land line), and whatever happens, I'm not gonna give her my mom's # just so she can bug me. :p

My school is under construction right now that's why it is like that.

I have to write a story for english here it :THE CABIN

The night was solemn. The fresh snow crunched under my feet. The crisp air was visible only when I exhaled. Every night I go walking around out here, but tonight seemed different.
As I came around the next bend in the pale moonlight I could see a tiny little cabin. I’ve never seen a cabin this far out in the woods. I approached the house with extreme caution. Peering into the only window I saw a man. He was old and wrinkled and had very little hair. He was sitting in a rocking chair murmuring something but I couldn’t make it out. Then he looked up at me with those cold dark deadish looking eyes. Slowly he rose from his rocker and inch by inch made his way toward me. He was inches away from me. I could now hear every word he was saying. He was singing something soft and quietly. He was singing a song: Leave me here for me to go. Leave me herer for what? I don't know?
Once his singing stopped he looked at me straight in the eye. His mouth tried to form words. I think he was trying to say help me. Then he disappeared almost into a mist.
I didn’t know I had been holding my breath until a big breath flew out from me. My legs were paralyzed for a moment restraining me so I couldn’t run. Once I regained feeling in my legs I ran as fast as I could. Once at my home I collapsed into my chair. I was too scared to move. I told myself to go back tomorrow. Though I was still scared I decided to go back.
In the morning I woke and ate my breakfast as though nothing happened. Even though in my gut I knew I was still scared, and I knew I had to go back there. The morning seemed like nothing at all had happened, but somehow it felt someone knew I was there. Even the wind spoke it. My heart was beating 10 times its normal pace.
I got up from my chair and left for that cabin. I turned that corner just as I had the night before. Then to my surprise there was nothing. Then I heard something. It was that song the old man was singing. I looked around to see If I could see the old man, but there was nothing. I looked at the ground and there I saw two pairs of foot prints in that exact spot I was last night one of which were mine and one, one I believed belong to that old man. I slowly turned my back from that place to which I’d never return. In my head I could hear that song: Leave me here to go leave me here for what? I don't know?
Then there was a cold wind on the back of my neck that seemed to be whispering remember the cabin.

If you pay attention to that old claymation special "Santa Clause Is Coming To Town".... it says that Christmas happened all the time, and then when Santa got old he decided to do it on "Jesus's Birthday".... and Id believe a claymation special LONG before Id go listening to some 2000 year old book.

My school was under a modified lockdown today because of a threat... which they won't say what it was.
So I turn on the news this evening, and there's our school. It was weird. I didn't think the threat was that serious, but it turns out that it was.

No, they didn't tell us what it was, but they did say something about there being a sniper at school yesterday.

I love Christmas due to the birth of Christ. Presents and decorations don't mean a thing to me anymore.Even though Jesus wasn't really born on December 25, it doesn't diminish the feeling one bit. It doesn't matter when you celebrate his birth as long as it's celebrated. Sorry for all the preaching but this time of year it's easy for me to get a bit carried away lol.

Well part of the reason I don't like christmas is because it is all just commercial fare these days. All the retail stores care about is how much money they are making. And how they just ridiculously overprice things. And you give presents to people and they most of the time don't like the presents then you get presents back and it's just so meaningless to so many people, all some people care about are the presents.

I just came back from Rockerfeller Center to see the big tree. You know what, it wasn't all that big. I guess TV adds a couple of feet. LOL

Did anyone else catch Cheers on TVland last night? It was on from like 10:30 to 12. I didn't think it was supposed to start till January :confused:

Short Summary: Rebecca thinks she may have some feelings for Sam when she is jealous because Sam has been spending all of his time talking to a woman he met over the internet. Sam must choose between Rebecca and the mystery internet woman but his decision is made much more difficult when he meets the woman he's been talking to and is just a little surprised by who it is. Meanwhile Carla is about to become a grandmother and following Sam's example Cliff decides to arrange a meeting with the woman he's been chatting online with for years. Guest stars/ cameo appearence (whatever it is) by Karen and Jack from "Will and Grace."

No, that's not classified as cast pics...put that in the general Cheers gallery. :)

I am so totally a people person! I love hangin around with my friends and I love meeting new people!

Ha! Same with me. I don't have a whole lot of friends. And I hate the fact that in my science class, my teacher does so many labs, but I have no friends in that class.

Wait, I take that back... I have one friend, but she usually pair's up with someone else.

I have friends.
Only a few close friends.... but I have plenty.

Some people do, and some people dont.
Thats cool.
It all depends on what kind of person you are.
Neither is better than the other.


But as for school....
it all sucks.
And learning.... blah.
Ive learned more from the TV and Internet than a school has ever taught me.
(and its MUCH more entertaining)

Some classes are just useless.
Like math and science.
But other classes make sense (even though they're boring) like English, Social Studies, or a Language. (I take French, but I might take Spanish next year)

Really school comes down to if you and your teacher like eachother.
If I hate a teacher.... I just blow off the class.

I like school alot because it allows me to play alot of sports and I'm very athletic so I like it.

I am taking AP/Pre-AP classes. My only on level core classes are Algebra II and Physics.

I have American...let's just say I hate my teacher with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns!

and not because he assigns work....He chooses his favorites (mainly the faculty offsprings in the class ((Especially the principles son)) ) and Belittles the rest of us. He is also a conservative republican and insists on imposing his views on us.....here's a tip for anyone...never under any circumstances talk current politics with a pig-headed teacher...

Current Events is they way to get us out of our history class :)

OMG I hate history!! I honestly don't CARE about things that happened a long time ago. All that matters to me is that those guys are dead and that I'm here and alive and we're in the middle of a kind of war. I don't care about those scary people who lived way back when.

But now that it's a new year, I'm gonna try to get interested.

I know what you mean. We need constructive criticism in order to improve. I hate DBQs even more than regular essays. They're not hard but they're boring.

I had a teacher in 10th grade -- 5th period Food Prep -- I hated her and she hated me. ;) She was such a bitch. Good riddance to her, she quit teaching my senior year. :D

I once had a teacher that chaperoned an exchange program to Spain and grew to hate me so much during the trip that when we got back, she hosted a barbecue and didn't invite me. That was key.

hehe That's what I thought for a long time. um...I don't know they are just very different. I started watching Cheers in order from the first episode, and I refused to watch the Rebecca years for the longest time...haha I would "boycott" them...lol but then I don't know I saw "I do, Adieu" and I was like "I have to give them a chance" and I ended up loving them as well.... I enjoy the Diane years alot more because Diane is there, and coach is there.

I did the same thing and then I discovered Lilith and all was right with the world (well, with the world of Cheers anyway). ;)

I'm weird aboubt tv shows I always like the later episodes better even if they aren't as good I dunno why though.

I think it became a very different show once Rebecca came.
And without the Diane years.... the Rebecca years would have NEVER worked.
The Diane years have much smarter and funnier writing.... but even for some cheap jokes taken here and there.... the Rebecca years are just as good.


And about liking earlier episodes better.... not me.
For almost every show (besides Cheers.... ironically).... the best episodes are the later ones. (Season 11 by far)
Frasier has gotten better at the end too.

I just had such a Diane moment. I had a meeting with my thesis advisor tonight and she goes "Your writing is extremely concise, but sort of stilted--you've never had this problem before. Needless to say, my thesis advisor was totally confused and I'm editing that paragraph ASAP. :rolleyes:
