View Full Version : I miss Unsolved Mysteries already... Brent88 11-17-2003, 02:17 PM it feels so empty to not be watching Unsolved Mysteries right now. I had gotten so used to it in the 1pm slot and now it's gone.:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( Big3sCompanyFan 11-17-2003, 02:46 PM YEAH, BRENT, I MISS IT TOO. WHAT CAN WE DO TO LIFETIME TO GET UM BACK? Brent88 11-17-2003, 07:45 PM Can we burn the building that houses them down? Just kidding. I don't think there's much we can do. I think our only hope of seeing UM again is on another channel and I don't think that will happen. crystaldawn 11-17-2003, 10:02 PM It doesn't make sense why they would take it off and they're not even showing anything new in the time slot. Did you know that tomorrow instead of UM you can see "The Nanny" 9 times on Lifetime!!! How stupid! Brent88 11-17-2003, 10:27 PM That IS crazy. And I thought the Cosby Show was overkilled. 9 times a day is TOO MUCH for any show, no matter how wonderful it is. All we are asking for is ONE hour devoted to UM... :( Makoto_4 11-17-2003, 10:38 PM Originally posted by Brent88 it feels so empty to not be watching Unsolved Mysteries right now. I had gotten so used to it in the 1pm slot and now it's gone.:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( I felt the same way today. Last year, when I started watching Unsolved Mysteries, I did the following on Monday through Friday afternoons and nights: when the show's on, I would stop whatever I was doing (homework, internet, etc), turn out the lights, and watch the show. Even if I saw the same segments before, I would watch them anyway. Now with UM not on Lifetime right now, I feel a very large void. :( I may have taped some of the shows and I can watch those whenever I want but I still miss it and Robert Stack. Speaking of Stack, he was once asked how much longer will his show be on tv and here's what he said: "The show has an amazing life conditioned upon the reaction of the viewers. It's ever youthful, and ever topical. Life itself is strange enough. I get a kick out of it, because it's on the side of good, and it makes all of us, if you believe in democracy, involved in making the country a better place. We're very fond of Lifetime because they are a support group, and a team, and in this profession that comfortable wonderful feeling of doing it together is the greatest." (from http://www.lifetimetv.com/community/chat/robertstack_transcript04.html , just scroll down near the end of the transcript for his answer to that question) What would Robert think of the show's current situation? :( -Makoto_4 Dilly 11-17-2003, 11:51 PM hey, at the bottom of that article on Robert Stack on the Lifetime website (see link above) if you scroll all the way down is a way to contact them-- it says WRITE US . I asked them to please return Unsolved Mysteries. Maybe if enough of us send comments they will listen. Worth a shot!:happyface Brent88 11-18-2003, 12:17 AM I wrote in earlier tonight... I have been watching UM since the end of July, caught every episode. I have about 10 tapes full of it. I had watched it on and off for the last few years. I really want it back so I can see all the episodes finally.
