Do you guys know whether this episode was shot in front of a studio audience or not? I know that at the beginning of the show up in Kerry and Bridget's room, there was audience applause, as well as when Rory first went downstairs to the realization that his mom didn't make waffles. But suddenly, after that, the audience laughter just stopped, even on the funny parts. My question is: Did they just use a laugh track for those first couple scenes, and keep the studio empty, or did they turn off the applause sign in the studio, and ask the audience to be quiet after the initial couple scenes? I watch tv with headphones, and I was pretty sure I heard some murmuring, and coughing occasionally coming from the audience, especially during the bathroom scene with Rory and Grandpa. That could have just been my imagination though. Or maybe it was just the crew making noise. Anyway, does anybody know for sure whether there was an audience in the studio for this episode, or not? Thanks!

no there was no studio audience. The first studio audience taped since john's death is the thanksgiving episode which airs a week from Tuesday. Yeah u probably heard stuff in the background but it wasnt the audience..most likely its the crew's reactions cuz they act like the auidence sometimes

Oh okay, thanks so much for the info. :) So I assume that the laughter from last weeks episode just came from a laugh track right? The obvious answer is probably yes, but I just want to be sure. Anyway thanks again for the information!

They started taping with a studio audience again last Friday. Yeah, they used a laugh track on last week's episode.
