Moving is a fact of her new life

Nancy McKeon, who stars as a police inspector on the Lifetime drama "The Division," has sold her Studio City home for close to its asking price of $999,000. McKeon played Jo in the '80s comedy series "The Facts of Life."

The actress, in her mid-30s, recently got married, remodeled the two-bedroom home and relocated. The traditional-style home has a kitchen with stone counters, a den with skylights, an outdoor fireplace and a pool with a waterfall.

McKeon had purchased the home, where she lived for about a year, as a fixer-upper. The 2,000-square-foot house was built in 1941.

Cathy Greenly of Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills, had the listing, and Randal Smith of Keller Williams represented the buyer.

Holy crap...almost a million bucks? That's crazy for a 2-bedroom.

Thanks Adoptee for telling us. :)

Thanks for typing up the article Jeanie. :)

My friend gave me an article in June (that was from December 2002) that her mom found for me. It talked about Nancy buying her home and how convenient it now was for her to go to work. Here's the article....

THE CELEBRITY SCENE:
"The Division" star Nancy McKeon is using her hiatus from the Lifetime series to settle into a home she's purchased in the San Fernando Valley. She's been leasing a house for the past few years, but with the renweal of "Division" for its third season, she has the self confidence to take on the responsibilities of a place of her own. "It's a luxury of life for an actress to know where she's going to be, when she has the luxury of working in her hometown." "The Division," which shoots mainly in the Sun Valley area of the San Fernando Valley, on occasion tapes in downtown L.A. or the harbor area of San Pedro, but the extra drive doesn't bother Nancy. "I go to work at 4:30 or 5 a.m., so I never hit traffic," says the actress known as tomboy Jo of "The Facts of Life."

I'm going to the market tomorrow to get a copy of the LA Times, since it'll still be on newstands.

I want to see pictures, both of her old and new home.

Yeah...it's crazy all right. After all the searching we did for a home, I know what it's like. There was a house a couple of blocks down from here that was selling for a million. It wasn't that great either. It had a brick wall covering the house (you couldn't even see it from the outside). And the inside was not that special either....whoever paid that much for that house was stupid. Nancy's house sounds pretty, plus it's in the san fernando valley. i want her house!
