It's been a wild time for exotic animals...

First, Roy Horn was mauled by a tiger onstage in Las Vegas.

And poor David Letterman. He's having a heck of a time dealing with a bear that keeps raiding the fridge at his Montana ranch.

Elvis gave up two kangaroos to a zoo, but who can forget his traveling buddy Scatter, a chimpanzee that trashed Sam Goldwyn's office? :elvis:

Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch is home to an ostrich, a giraffe and a llama. But the exotic animal most associated with the singer is Bubbles the Chimp, who used to appear in photo ops wrapped in Jackson's arms. Now about 20 years old, Bubbles hangs out with a trainer at a nearby ranch. Two tigers Jackson bought now live on a Texas refuge.

Mike Tyson claims he used to spar with his tigers — Kenya and Storm, two female white Bengals, and Boris, a golden tabby male. For seven years they lived at his Texas home while Tyson tried to get a license to own them. When that never came through (and after Tyson filed for bankruptcy), the cats were moved to a refuge in Colorado.

After winning $5,000 in Las Vegas, Paris Hilton sprung for a tiger, London, who is "75% wild," she says. The animal now lives on a family property in Nevada. "I don't have it anymore," says Hilton, the party-animal socialite who has a new reality series, The Simple Life, premiering on Fox Dec. 2. She says London "got too big, and if it ever got loose I'd be in so much trouble."

With a zoo permit at his famous 5.5-acre Playboy mansion property, Hugh Hefner keeps an assortment of peacocks and spider monkeys in the yard. It's heavily populated with wild rabbits, too.

George Clooney is said to be quite devoted to his pot bellied pig...

I don't care how rich you are, a tiger is not an impulse buy!

Now for my monthly rant.

There are too many tigers in private ownership out there. A month ago, Police discovered a New York man keeping a Tiger in his apartment. Animal rescue teams finally took dozens of Tigers living in squalid conditions away from this crazy "tiger lady" in New Jersey, who has been fighting authorities for years to keep her "babies."

Tigers, 30 foot pythons and alligators are not pets!
Anyone who is caught selling a tiger or keeping on as a "pet" should be thrown in jail. They're wild animals, you dummies!

Back when I was 12, a dog we once had thought was "in love" with another dog and then as we were trying to pull her back from the door screen, she let lose and the dogs "fist fighed" and as we pulled her back, she bite my mom in the arm and she and dad had to go the hospital to make sure that she didn't have rabies and thank God, she didn't but a week later, we had to get rid of the dog.
