Sad news again as we have lost another great TV & Film legend...

Penny Singleton who rose to fame as the cartoon character Blondie has died.

Penny passed away on Nov. 12th after a massive stroke. She was 93.

She was also the cartoon voice of Jane Jetson on The Jetsons.

As some of you may recall, Penny filmed most of her outdoor scenes at the Warner Ranch neighborhood when it was called The Columbia Ranch in the 1930's & 40's.
Mr. Wiilson's house also used as The I Dream Of Jeannie house was the Blondie house.

First Hal England (Bewitched Guest Star) , then Art Carney & now Penny Singleton.
It's true what they say about these tragic things coming in three's...

I posted this news under the cartoons forum. I'm curious, why did you post it under the Dennis The Menace thread? She never appeared on the show.

I posted it here because like Dennis The Menace, Blondie was also based on a popular cartoon & for the fact that both Dennis & Blondie were both filmed on the same studio lot. Blondie & Dagwood's home was also used as Mr. Wilson's home!

I read your post again after submitting my reply & saw that I overlooked the reason. I thought I had deleted my reply but obviously it didn't work.

Users can only edit their posts. PB and TJ are the only ones that can delete them.

After you click edit, why does the delete option come up? If that feature is only accessible by PB & TJ, it shouldn't be there. No big deal, just curious.
