:soapbox:

I've just had a bad expirence with a buyer that saw my list here and wanted some Eek the cat episodes. He sent the money on the 28th of October, I told him I would send one of them on the 4th of November. I ran into some problems with my VCR when my daughter decided to shove the paper from a VHS tape into my player and had to get it fixed. So I tell him about it and he reverses the Paypal on me tonight without any notice or warning to me. It's only been 2 weeks since he paid for this! The Mail to him could have taken that long to get there even if I sent the tapes when I said I would. Not to mention that when I told him about the delay I offered to send him some of the money back for the extra waiting he had to do which is nice of any seller to offer for only two weeks. Most people need two weeks to just do the taping.....

The funny thing about this guy was he offers to buy the tapes for $250 from the beginning. I tell him that he is offering too much money and I don't want that much. So he goes down only $50 and insists on paying that much. I offer them to him at a fraction of that cost and he insisted on paying that much. Who pays $200 for tapes anyway  Fishy dude, I tell you. Now I got to wonder if he would have done that reversal to me with paypal even if I sent them? I have been reading about people reversing paypals lately, is this one of these people? Don't people understand that unexpected delays can happen? 10 freaking days....hurts me big time since that money was already spent, now I'm broke as a joke until payday
:crybaby:

His email addresses are: steve.w.mclaughlin@verizon.net and vze29zde@verizon.net

If he contacts you about buying anything I'd be very weary about dealing with him, very impatient person

He told paypal I was a ripper....what a joke! I've got more Ref's then most. At least I never sent him anything. I would be screwed now if I had :angryfire

I have heard about this Paypal thing lately also.

What I've been doing is if it's a big order or something I'll split the order and at least get a couple tapes shipped within 7 days and purchase tracking on them. Then if they file a complaint like that then you have a tracking number to prove you've sent some tapes. Bad thing is Paypal won't accept them if you didn't ship within 7 days and sometimes on big orders it takes a while to get tapes done.

But as long as you ship part of the order and have tracking number to prove it they won't be able to reverse the transaction.

Sorry it happened to you this time but hopefully this info will help if it happens agin or to someone else.

A friend of mine did an order for all of Melrose Place for $200 and she shipped them in 2 weeks and he got the tapes and she didn't purchase tracking and we think he saw that and he filed a complaint and got his money back because she didn't have a tarcking number so she was out near 40 tapes and $200

I'd have to ceck with her on who it was but the name didn't seem familiar when she mentioned it to me. I know his name comes up James when he emailed me wanting to trade before.

Seems like every since EBay took over Paypal it's been getting worse. Like the buyer is always right no matter what!
