What was your favorite Aunt Bee episode? Here are three that are my favorites:

Those are 3 of the worst episodes of the series, Aunt Bea was at her best in:

#1. Aunt Bea's Medicine Man. John Dehner, was perfect as Colonel Harvey.

#2. Aunt Bea The Warden (not sure if thats the right title) It's the one where Otis has to stay at Andy's house & Aunt Bea puts him to work.

#3. The New Housekeeper.

How about the Pickle episode? That was a pretty good one for Aunt Bee.

I liked the medicine man episode with John Dehner and the one where she goes to Mexico with her two lady friends. Another is the one where Andy buy fruit jars for Aunt Bee and Mayor Stoner buys a bed jacket. All along Bee is hinting for the jacket and it goes right over Andy until he see she is disappointed and later swap the gift with the mayor. I thought that was a tender episode.

I like the medicine man episode. It cracks me up when she sings "Toot Toot Tootsie, Goodbye."

How about the pickle episode? That was a pretty good one for Aunt Bee

None, I hated Aunt Bee

Out of those, I'd say the "My Hometown" episode. That song was in my head a couple of days ago!

But, I really love the pickle episode the best. And, Aunt Bee's Medicine Man. I can't wait until the b&w eps roll around again!

I can't remember the episode's title, but my favorite was the one where busybody Clara tells her that Andy won't get married until Aunt Bee is taken care of. So she allows someone to court her that she doesn't love, thinking it will free Andy to wed.

Another good one was the one where the guy who played Uncle Joe on Petticoat Junction sweet talks Bee so he can freeload at the Taylor house, until Andy gets wise to his scam.

Aunt Bee's Big Moment. The one where she learns to fly and bones the fish. :lol:

I gained some fandom of the show from my mother and don't know nearly as much about it as some other 1960s shows. But The Warden and the Pickle Story are my two favorite Aunt Bee episodes, hands down.

The one where Briscoe Darling wants Aunt Bee. She goes to his house and has him and the Darling boys doing a lot of work, cleaning the house, taking baths, etc.!

I love The Pickle Story. It's probably my favorite episode of the series. The New Housekeeper was also a good one. Although I do think Opie shines in that one. I do like the one where Aunt Bee and her two friends go to Mexico is funny also.

I like Aunt Bee the Crusader, lots of great moments in that. Very funny and yet offbeat in they got angry at each other. Frances went from good to great so many times on the series. She often did very small moments extremely well.

There were several episodes like that. One where Bee tells Andy she has a date with Orville Hendrick, the butter and egg guy (he buttered her up and she egged him on). And another where she dates Fred Goss the dry cleaner guy.

The Medicine Man, John Dehner is too funny. Love how he does the smoke signal from his fist and Opie says ‘Wow!’ My favorite. Also Briscoe Declares For Aunt Bee is one of the best of course Denver Pyle is brilliant. When Briscoe is outside Bee’s window caterwauling he thinks she’s playing hard to get.

Those 3 you mentioned about advertising furniture polish, singing that dreadful song, My Hometown, etc are the worst. Talk about jumping the shark. My favorite scene of all time all seasons is when Barney brings over Lydia Crosswaite as a potential mate for Andy. She was priceless.
