has anyone ever had family members on unsolved mysteries? my uncle was actually on the show one time discussing a case on the murder of an elderly couple from Colonie, NY. it aired i believe in 1994. and for some reason, i have never seen this episode on Lifetime. i have only seen the original broadcast of it that my aunt had taped of it. anyone else have family that was on the show?

No, none of my family members have ever appeared on UM. Well, not that I know of anyway.
I don't remember the story in which you've mentioned. Maybe I've seen it but I just don't remember. Was your uncle a witness of the elderly couple's murder?

no he wasn't a witness. he was actually the lieutenant of the colonie police department at that time, so he did a lot of the investigation. the main reason the story aired on the show was because the son of the couple who were murdered had my uncle call a physic in florida, and it was actually because of her that the case was solved. the most shocking part of the whole thing was that the couple's own grandson had his two friends go over to his grandparents house to rob them. but it went wrong and the couple were killed. the story was a part of a segment on the show about the physic who solved the case. because of the case, my uncle was also on 48 hours, and Geraldo Rivera's old talk show. and i just found out that my uncle going to be on court tv sometime next year, discussing the same case!

I "relative" of mine through marriage in my family has been on the show several different times discussing UFOs. That's always been our family's claim to fame, I suppose.

Hey rserafin, maybe YOU can help US solve a mystery...fans have been wondering why certain segments are never shown and since your uncles segment is never shown, maybe you could have more power in finding out WHY by writing UM. Sounds kinda crazy but I know I sure would like to know why we see the same segments over and over when I recall soooo many more interesting ones that have disappeared...

Oh I see.
That is definitely a sad story. How could he (the grandson) be so cold-hearted? I can't imagine endangering any of my loved ones.
