I love the name "Chico's The Man"!!

If that terrible event wouldn't have happened back in January 1977, I think Freddie could have gone on to do a spin-off of the show after Jack died...

I can imagine him living in an apartment or a house in East LA and maybe opening up his own garage...maybe getting married to one of his girlfriends...(Liz was always my favorite--she was funnier than any of his other girlfriends!)..dealing with the everyday stresses of opening a new business, married life, etc, etc. Then, they could have a baby!! :baby:

With Jack's passing, the generation- and culture-gap dynamics would be lost. A show detailing Chico's life after Ed would perhaps have to have an angry Anglo character to play off of his even more happy-go-lucky nature--since marrying his dream girl and awaiting the birth of a baby.

Any ideas out there for what kind of person this could be?

Somehow I just dont think Freddie would have wanted to do a spin off if Ed passes. You could easily see how hard Ed took it when Freddie left us. They had a close relationship.
With all of his many talents, there is NO DOUBT Freddie would have gone on to another show, but I dont think he would have made it a spin off. I think it may have been a hard reminder to work with.......just my opinion.

but for the sake of fun, entertainment, thinking about freddie's career and a new topic lets think of something fun instead of the sad
any ideas either for a spin off or another show for Freddie altpgether if that makes it easier?
