If guys were asking those women out neither one of them would be inside on a Saturday night!

Hmm... Female here...
Uh... If I'm home on a Saturday night, having no date (this is the norm, BTW, for me :( ), trust me... I don't give a darn about cutesy snacks; I'll eat whatever I have at home. Who would I be trying to impress by creating some fancy snack platter????? As far as what movies to watch? I watch whatever's on TV, or if I so desire I'll watch a DVD that I already own. I don't rent movies.
I don't need their help. I'm a big girl and can come up with my own ideas.
As far as the guys are concerned...
I doubt that many of the them give a darn either about those snacks. And I bet they can make their own decisions about what to watch, too.

They provided a listing of good chick flicks. I was like who are they really reaching out to?-LOL

Chick-flicks. Heh! I like 'em from time to time.
But I also like science fiction (like War of the Worlds, Star Trek series, Lexx series), mystery/suspense (Sherlock Holmes, Hitchcock), adventure (Indiana Jones), historical (Shindler's List). I like the goofy (Munster, Go Home, Batman (Adam West)), the serious (Glory (Denzel Washington), Apollo 13), the fantastical (Harry Potter), the funny (Shrek, Santa Clause)...
Chick-flicks are only a very small segment of the film library out there. Why do they figure that that's all women want to watch? They are wrong, let me assure you.

I agree! When I'm home on a Saturday night bored to death. The last thing that I would think about is making a perfect little platter or driving around town to find Thelma and Louise. Kinda a stupid idea.
