I was having doubts about someone here. I had Janice get me IP addresses to Cindy (vintagetvgirl) and Dorothy (Unwanted Angel) and searched for names on here. Their IP belongs to one member name here, steak. I talked to Brian and he said they are the same person. Dorothy has been playing all of us under many screen names.

Here are some of the screen names I found on the Buffy board that match Dorothy's IP address:

And guys, Dorthy definitely isn't the only person posting under multiple screen names. It's sad, but you have to always be on your toes when it comes to things like that.

I highly doubt that TJL is Dorothy, I think the reason they have the same IP addresses is because they both might use AOL. That's what I've been saying all along. When I first started talking to her on here she was really nice to me. I thought we were friends and so we talked on aim, through email, and on here. I thought we were friends too, but then I found myself in this very position when I found out she was Kerri. The dumb thing she did was post her email address when she signed up for LiveJournal when I gave her a code for it (when she was Kerri). I went through all that trouble just to get one for a person who was lying to me the whole time. When I saw her email address you don't know how much in shock I really was. I couldn't believe that this girl, who I thought was my friend, deceived me like that. And now we find out she has more personalities on here. It's just so sad that a person would go to these lengths and for what really? But I've been telling you guys all along that she wasn't any good when I found out she was Kerri. It's funny, hardly anyone listened to me except for a select few.

This is just so messed up. ohno: Number 1, I don't think AOL members should be privileged with those kind of Ip's. They get away with too much crap. Number 2, TJ told me from before if I had said something to him when all that Kerri crap went down he would've done something about her. And now this? I think this is really overdue.

I've read all of the posts in the thread.

With the way AOL IP addresses work, it is very hard to tell somebody is posting under different names. Unless the posts are right back to back, there is no way to know. Everytime you sign on to AOL, you get a new ip address. That same ip address
is shared by hundreds if not thousands of people at the same time. AOL uses proxies and your reported ip address can even change while you are logged on. Unless there is a thread where all these names posted on the same thread at the same ip,
there is no 100% way to prove anything.

I'm sorry to everybody that got played. If this really happened, then Dorothy had an elaborate system to fool everybody. I thought it was ironic that vintagetvgirl suddenly disappeared at the same time when all of this happened last month.

I really don't know what kind of registration system I can go to prevent this. Even if I were to verify e-mail addresses, I'm not sure
how a problem like this could be avoided. What do I need to do? Have people send me a registered letter letting me know
who they really are or phoning me?

I'm probably the only one, but I still don't think those user names were just Sarah. It's not such a big deal to understand that she had cousin's who made their username's on her computer...but instead because there has been that kind of **** going on, everyone jumps on her and accuses her of that.
