I saw Kent McCord years ago when I worked in this certain dept. store in California and I waited on him. Didn't recognize him at first because his hair had grown long, (this was in the late 80'). The only thing I really remember he was very tall, and he used a different name on his credit card, so I think Kent McCord is a stage name. Also I went to high school with a girl who's mom almost married him. :wave:

Kent McWhirter aka McCord is still a hunk. Did you know he got his start on Ozzie and Harriet and was a good friend of Ricky Nelson's? He also played on Rick's football team that played against Elvis's team. They were also in demolition derbies with the plan to wipe out everyone else, then go at each other. It didn't work out though since they went after the other first.

I was wondering who you thought Kent almost married. He always went with this current wife, Cynthia. They were high school and college sweethearts.

I enjoyed Kent McCord on Farscape, he played John Crichton's father.

Kent was also on another sci-fi series- Galactica 1980, the doomed sequel series to Battlestar Galactica.

I don't remember the mom's name all I know is that he went to Baldwin Park High School, if that helps.:)

Yes,he was quiet a honey.I always had a crush on him.

I remember back in i think around 1969 or 1970, when i was around 9 years old, my dad who was a police officer invited us all to go to the Hollywood Bowl for something called "Cops and Pops". I guess it was some sort of event specifically for the police force or something, i really can't remember. But i remember hearing that Martin Milner was going to be there signing autographs. My first thought was, well what about Kent McCord? that's no fair.. :mad:

I of course thought Kent was the good looking one, and was more interested in seeing him. Anywho, while i was there, i did manage to see Martin signing autographs in the distance and feeling bummed out because Kent was not there. :( :lol:

Just recently on Antenna TV, I've been watching Adam-12 for the first time in over 30 years and i still think Kent is a really great looking guy. Probably even more so then i did then. ;)

He makes the show a bit more enjoyable. :D

Another Kent fan here!!!!! He's a walking talking dark-haired Ken doll.

His character of Reed sure loved to eat eat eat...even had major upset stomach from all that eating... no wonder he was always so anxious for a code 7.

We had Ozzie Nelson direct and appear on Adam-12 a few times mid-season also Rick's wife (Jean #2) made 3 appearances in the final season. But no Rick Nelson :eek:

Yeah I've seen that footage. Plus he was only about 20 there so you get a little mixture of left over baby fat plus the weight gain/muscles he had going on then. I actually prefer the more lean look on him. :cool:

Agreement with ya! A lean Kent is better looking and fit his cop uniform nicely. His body just didn't look good with too much muscle and add the buzzcut he had for a while made him look like a meathead :p

I think Ricky & Kent were just friends. I wondered if Kent was interviewed after the death of Rick Nelson. He would've been devastated to lose someone he's known for decades.
