On Halloween, the Entertainment Network's E: True Hollywood Story, they had the Twilight Zone trial in which in one of the four arcs in the movie, where a stunt went awary, the helicopter, which was in the scene, lost control and decapitated Combat star Vic Morrow & two Vietnamese kids. The producers were tried and were acquitted of manslaughter and breaking child laws and the deaths of children. It was like a slap on the wrist.

I remember when that happened, and I've watched the THS. Now whenever I watch Twilight Zone: The Movie I always think of what happened to Vic and those two children. :(

Did you know that actress Jennifer Jason Leigh(Single White Female, Eyes Wide Shut) is Vic's daughter??

Yea, she's one of my favorite actresses.

Jennifer & Vic were estranged for a very long time and just shortly before his death, Vic left all of his belongings to his oldest daughter he gotten along with and his two ex-wives and a girlfriend and left Jennifer with only $100 dollars and a few things. She changed her name Morrow to Jason Leigh to avoid the typical actors children syndrome like are you Vic's kid??

Vic Morrow wasn't the only person associated with the Twilight Zone that was decapitated in a helicopter accident. Director Boris Sagal (father of Katy Sagal) was killed on may 22nd 1981 after walking into the rear blades of a helicopter he had just stepped out of. Boris Sagal, directed the episodes The Arrival & The Silence. As for Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jason is in honor of long time family friend Jason Robards.

Boris Sagal was a director.

He was killed early in the production of the TV film World War III (1982) (TV) in a helicopter accident in Oregon. He had just returned from filming aerial shots, his helicopter landing in the parking lot of a lodge on Mt. Hood. Preoccupied with his work, he inadvertently turned the wrong way upon getting out of the helicopter, walking directly into the rear rotor blade; he died of severe head and shoulder injuries after emergency surgery 60 miles away in Portland. Astonishingly, filming resumed the very next day with a new director.

Vic Morrow's grave is at Hillsdale Memorial Park, a jewish cemetery in Los Angeles!!
