Where was Paul's family besides his wife and kids? how come they didn't attened the funeral or wake just curious

You know, I wondered the same sort of thing! From the sound of Paul's last article I'm assuming Paul's father is dead, but last year I don't ever remember Paul's other family being mentioned. I could be wrong on that, but all I remember is talking about Cate's family, like when they went to her parent's place for spring break and when her sister came. So for all we know he could have been an only child and his parents are both dead, or something like that. Also, he might have had relatives there at the gathering after the funeral, we just didn't see their interaction on screen. Sorry to ramble on, I had just been thinking about that so I had many thoughts, lol.
