View Full Version : How much longer do you think The Simpsons will last? Chocoholic 11-05-2003, 04:50 PM I give it four or five more seasons, tops. Microprosa 11-05-2003, 05:24 PM Until the end of season 16. If it lasts any longer I'll lose all faith in humanity. Mr. Television 11-05-2003, 05:37 PM Forever:lol: Céline 11-05-2003, 10:26 PM For four or five seasons.I think the kids could grow up to see how they are going to turn out than they could end it there. dandelion wine 11-06-2003, 01:35 AM Originally posted by mr roper Forever:lol: I voted for another four or five seasons, but I won't be surprised if it does last that long. tattoored666 11-06-2003, 06:43 AM It will stop long before I'm ready for it to stop I'm afraid. EricIdlefan 11-08-2003, 02:25 AM Originally posted by tattoored666 It will stop long before I'm ready for it to stop I'm afraid. Amen Sister or Brother!!!!!!!!! :p ;) fan912 11-09-2003, 06:15 AM I hope it stays forever, but we know that that won't happen... SO- 5 or 6 more seasons. sallydoll 11-10-2003, 10:35 AM but matt groening is runnig out of ideas, i mean the new episodes are ok but the old ones are so much funnier, i just wonder when matt is going to make the movie? or so i heard. The_hiddenMan2350 11-17-2003, 08:32 PM I think the simpsons will last about 3 more years because the rumor is that Matt G. just signed a 1-year contract. So... i would think, with all the popularity it would sign a couple more contracts! TheBentWookiee 11-19-2003, 06:10 PM i hope it goes as long as it can. and i hope DVD's pop up sooner than 1 season a year, it's ridiculous. With South Park season three coming out in December, that is 3 seasons of South Park to 1 season of Simpsons odds(not total, but in about a year). The people at FOX need to get on it and start dropping these like rabbits! mudshark82 11-25-2003, 09:39 PM i hope they can start heading back to their more traditional format if they want to keep succeeding. now it seems the show is full of guest stars and spoofs on pop culture. they need more good storylines with less of the fast paced family guy style humor theyve been heading towards lately. tattoored666 11-26-2003, 06:15 AM Originally posted by mudshark82 i hope they can start heading back to their more traditional format if they want to keep succeeding. now it seems the show is full of guest stars and spoofs on pop culture. they need more good storylines with less of the fast paced family guy style humor theyve been heading towards lately. Well said barwars 12-05-2003, 06:31 PM I say it will end in its 20th season. Not quite sure when that is.... but its a good number to stop at. chelseann 12-14-2003, 01:16 AM I voted four or five more seasons. But it would be so weird not having new episodes of the Simpsons on Sunday nights, I mean what could they replace it with? mudshark82 12-14-2003, 08:09 AM maybe that's part of their whole scheme with family guy. axe the simpsons in 2 or 3 years and replace it with family guy. that's the only show i can possibly see filling those clown sized shoes of sundays at 8pm. REDKISH 4X4 01-06-2004, 03:13 PM When Matt runs out of ideas. But I can come up with a couple of episode ideas if you want gilligan fanatic 03-28-2005, 03:29 PM Four or five more years, tops Belair 03-29-2005, 03:18 PM Its amazing how long it has lasted already. The writers are genuises to keep coming up with new jokes.I can see it lasting for awhile yet. Dr. Thong 04-03-2005, 01:19 PM It's been very uneven the last five or six years and while I'd hate to see it go, I think it's time they put it to rest. They've run out of ideas and it's very seldom there's a rock-solid, laugh-out-loud episode like during the glory days (1991-96). I'm not berating the writers - after 15 years, it has to be tough finding fresh ideas and new angles for the characters. It's just too bad they're running it into the ground rather than going out on top creatively. Of course, I will be loyal to the end, so it's not like I'm going to stop watching anytime soon. Mr. Television 04-03-2005, 01:25 PM another 20 or 30 years  Race's Girl 04-07-2005, 11:28 AM For 4 or 5 more years. SimpsonsFan 05-17-2005, 10:23 AM Well FOX is certainly not going to cancel it. The only reason that I can think of as to why the show would ever end is if they run out of ideas, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon because there are so many characters on the show that they can do eps about and there always seems to be something going on for them to make fun of. |
