Thanks!!!!

Well, they're working on them now and there are quite a few to do, so i figure we're talking months a t least. They have to have them all out for the Columbia House version, and then when it's complete, they just make up a big box and put the ones they have done in there, i guess. So, do the Columbia ones come out one or two every six weeks? That's a lot of weeks to wait for season two!

Yeah, I'd rather buy them all at once in the box set. Much easier.

I'm actually angry. They had to release the discs by volume. Why not just put it in a three disc set like every show else?

It's all a money thing. They sign the deal with Columbia House to do them in "Volumes" and charge $25 each for the discs, then a YEAR LATER on average they repackage them and make them available via retail chains for the cheaper prices and make twice the money. Those who don't want to wait a year for them are forced to buy the Columbia House versions.
They did the same thing with The Honeymooners, which is why it's taken them so long to make it out on DVD in retail chains.

Doesn't it always seem to be a money thing, i wish we had a figure of how much dough CBS has made on this show in 50 years, and it never seems to end! I heard 100 million, but that figure seems low, very low! You don't sell a show to 80 countries for 50 years and make only 100 million, ask Roseanne or Seinfeld!

They could still put them on one DVD and charge the same and make the same money.
And Splain, are you saying you think CBS might lie? :happyface

NO, giant corporations NEVER lie! Ask people who had Enron shares!
