Wouldn't it be cool if FOL released toys like dolls, action figures, things like that? I would definetly buy the action figures. Lol.
Well, erase the doll idea. You could always find dolls looking like them, do some hair cutting, possibly curling and braiding, (LOL) and it looks like them. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Maybe they'll release FOL Reunion Toys? LOL.

Oh my gosh, I've been thinking the EXACT same thing!! I would luv FOL toys cuz I still *love* toys (I'm 17 lol). I was thinking that it would be soooo cool to have a lil Jo, Blair, Nat, and Toot, etc, to act out episodes and make up new ones with. They didn't really release much FOL merchandise over the series' run http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif Okay I've blabbed enough so I'll go now.

I think there has to be a line drawn with all the commercialization of every show or movie. Maybe I don't remember correctly, but growing up in the 80s (born in 80) when Disney released movies and they weren't making new ones, but re-releasing the old ones, there wasn't the onslaught of products that you see today with Disney movies. Maybe there was, but my Mom wouldn't show me the ads or I was just oblivious to it. Don't get me started on the merchandising done by the "teen" pop groups. Ridiculous doesn't even begin to describe it. I like that FOL doesn't have the merchandising that you see now. It protects the integrity of the show, while some of the shows or supposed music groups use the products to prop up the show/group because it's not worth anything. I think its really sad that kids today are bombarded by so much more media that I don't remember. Maybe it's because I was too busy outside playing with my friends roller skating, a huge collection of My Little Ponies, and causing our parents grief! We did plenty of that!

Ever seen Family Guy?
In episode #5, Peter (the main character who works at a toy factory) proposed a line of Facts of Life transformers to his boss.
They go from "cute as a button" to "fat as a cow" to "radioactive spitting lizards".
I found it funny, even though I didn't agree with the fat as a cow part.
