View Full Version : Why was JJ never married?
nerrad 11-05-2003, 11:24 AM Wasn't JJ suppose to be the Ebony Prince with all of the ladies chasing him? It just came to me, but I would've loved to see JJ married on the show instead of Thelma. Then again, it probably wouldn't have worked. Much like Happy Days. Fonzie settling down? Adopting a son in the final episode. Who he would've married is another thing. Keith was sorta shoved down our throats. How many episodes before he proposed to her, two.

His character was too goofy to be married.
Mr. Television 11-05-2003, 07:21 PM I never liked Keith.
bigfan 11-05-2003, 11:36 PM You said,Keith was sorta shoved down our throats.I always felt Keiths roll as kind of out of place on the show.Especially the way they added him in.

Mr. Television 11-19-2003, 12:22 AM I don't know. For someone who was silly looking, JJ had a lot of girlfriends.
nerrad 11-19-2003, 03:54 PM How about that.  Good one, Mr. Roper. I've always said that too.
Dr. Jazz 11-20-2003, 03:05 PM Didn't he almost marry Debbie Allen in that two-part episode? Then he found out she was a junkie.
I had just got finished watching the Second Season DVD of "Good Times", and J.J. was always talking about Henrietta. In almost every episode of thats eason, he was crazy about thjis unseen girl until episode 34, and then they broke up because she was pregnant and wanted to marry J.J.

His best looking girlfriend was the RICH GIRL. I thought his best looking girlfriend was the older woman that wanted to buy his paintings in the episode called JJ and the Older Women; the actress that played JJ's love interest was also Raj's and Dee's father's girlfriend in What's Happening!!

Probaably because the show wanted him to keep being "the prince of the Projects".

It was time to move out of the projects after 5 seasons but the stupid writers wanted them to be in the ghetto forever:lol:
