Eventhough i thought James Garner was very good in the role as Cate's father, i felt that Suzanne Pleschette did not add a thing in playing Cate's mom. I don't know if it was the way the role was written for her....but she seemed to be more of a hinderance help and comfort for her daughter. James Garner had two very nice scenes with Martin (in the bathroom and later in the bedroom) and his scene with Katey towards the end of the show was very touching. Suzanne's character seemed to just "be there" without any real purpose. Anyone else have any thoughts??
