At the beginning they had him going to the store for milk and later in the show one of the daughters said something about batteries.

Do any of you ever have to go to the store for a particular item and someone in your home say "get some ......."

The statement was made about the batteries and Catey Sagel said that the last thing she told Paul was get some milk, so all he heard was blah blah blah. Maybe he was going to the store for batteries ORIGINALLY and she asked him to get milk while he was there.

Then they should have witten it that way. It did seem a little confusing.

Good point, that makes a little more sense.
