I know some people were probably fuming about missing 3,2,1 on FOL. That's one of my favorite episodes too, but I was watching another show, which is semi-FOL related. "First Years" on NBC. I was a bit surprised to see Mackenzie Astin (Andy), with a goatee, playing a young gay lawyer! I didn't know it was him until the opening credits. If you just stare awhile at how he is now, and mentally remove the beard, you can still see the errand boy of Over Our Heads.

I don't like the goatee on him much. Is nice to see him playing a gay guy because I have found him attractive as an adult.

I just caught the opening scenes but I think it is a bit ironic that he played such a girl crazy kid on FOL and now he is playing a gay character. Actually, I think it is pretty cool and shows some guts on his part to play a gay character. Mackenzie, along with the rest of the FOL alumni, really seems like a nice person who has his head screwed on right in real life.

I guess it's not hard to play a gay character when you're spending the 11-14 years hanging out with 20 year old girls all the time, LMAO!!!!

That's just a joke there, hehe.

I really wanted Mack to have a hit show, but I tried watching it, and I just couldn't get into it. I tried, I really did!!!
Has anyone seen Iron Will, he is totally hot in that movie (I thought).

I'm not the kind to say I told you so but, I told you so! haha. Sorry--I just had to say that. Like I said before, up against Raymond and Becker, the chances weren't good. Well, look on the bright side--at least he's getting a new show with Tiffani Amber Thiessen. It's GOTTA do better than this show.

I think being up against Ally McBeal might have been a bigger problem then Raymond or Becker. Both shows were the along the same lines. I thought from Day 1 that it would get cancelled or that NBC wasn't investing much in it because it was opposite Ally McBeal.

It was getting creamed by reruns of 7th Heaven. It never stood a chance.

Ally might have been a problem but Raymond and Becker have higher ratings for the 9pm hour. But I understand what you're saying about the shows being similar. The time slot overall wasn't good. There was way too much competition.
