Of the later MASH stuff I loved the ep where BJ had to abandon the soldier and take off by helicopter. Later an absorbing mystery when Beej went looking for that abandoned fellow. I also liked Klinger trying to help SunLee (sp?) find her family. MASH's early years were best but these mystery storylines were good.

BTW Klinger helping SunLee was from Goodbye, Farewell, Amen, not Beej's mystery ep.

since I made that other post 13 years ago, I found out that it was found once by a construction worker or something, he told Alan Alda or someone and asked what he should do with it, but I forget what they said.

I'm not a BJ fan, but that is a great episode when he has to cut the rope. A realistic, well written story.

I've since found out the whole story, Alan Alda tells it in an interview on You Tube-a construction worker DID find it a month later and it WAS A.A. he asked what he should do with it. A.A. told him he doesn't care because no one wants it. To quote him "So as far as I know it might be up for sale on e-bay or something."
