Here is a link for news related to the 2002 abduction and murders of Miranda Gaddis and Ashley Pond. (As you know, UM ran a segment on the case last year.)

It includes a news piece from this past August, mentioning that the mother of Miranda Gaddis is suing Oregon's Department of Human Services, claiming that the department knew (or should have known) that her daughter's accused murderer, Ward Weaver III, was dangerous.
Weaver is slated to go on trial for the murders of Gaddis and Pond next year. The prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
