TVShowsonDVD.Com just posted an update that has the info on the first season of Gilligan's Island, and a prototype of what the cover art MIGHT look like.

Check it out at http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=792 and yes the lost pilot is included!

We shall see what happens! Our family just got a player for Christmas! However, as you know, complete series on DVD can be both a blessing and a curse:

On the Good Side: You get the episodes in beautiful color and sound, can watch them when you want, and have all the cool benifits of DVD. Gilligan's Island will be a treasure! (or should be)

On the Bad Side: (or unsure side) You will have to pay a lot for the complete set. Also, shockingly sometimes scenes are still missing from the DVD editions! Questions, such as, how many seasons will be released? Will they be the complete versions or the uncut versions? What kind of extras will be offered on the disks? How well will the restoration look?

Could Hallmark be releasing uncut editions when they show the series in Jaunary? I will be very interested in hearing a review of the Gilligan's Island DVD package.

TVshowsondvd does say when it is coming out I think it said sometime in March. If I remember it says they were being restore to there orginal quality and be uncut like they were originally seem. It also will be in b&w like it was suppose to be since the first season is in b&w.

To paraphrase the Professor from "HARE TODAY GONE TOMORROW""..I think he means complete...or CUT (uncut bieng same thing as complete..) I hope uncut..
