haha, this episode was on last night.. I had forgottten how funny it is! lol!
Joe is so funny in this episode. I love the part when they're all in Davis's hotel room, and they were trying to put everything back the way it was when they heard the water turn off, after going through his suitcase, and Joe was just kind of sitting on the bed watching everyonefreaking out, and getting a kick out of it. and they finally got everything back and put the teddy back in the box, and Joe was laying on the bed on his stomach, waving his feet around, and then he goes, "uh-oh!!" and waves around the ribbon that had been on the box. hahaha. so then they were all freaking out again to put it back and Joe was just sitting back and enjoying it. lol!

oh, and another part that cracks me up was when Helen first found the gift, ad she opened it, and was like, "I hope this isn't for me!" and Joe says, "He probaby bought it for another woman. b@stard." and Brian goes, "Or he bought it for himself... the b!tch." lol the way Brian says that cracks me up. (and why does this dumb board have to censor swear words?).

lol

Maybe I read too much into these "Wings" episodes, but it struck me how in the hotel room scene, where they're snooping through Davis' suitcase, Helen was working WITH her "Wings" buddies AGAINST her boyfriend Davis.

This can be seen quite a bit in various episodes....a character may get a new love interest, but the FIRST loyalty and allegiance is with the "Wings" friends. (Even if it doesn't start out that way, it eventually comes out....after all, Joe's new girlfriend Gail didn't REALLY stand a chance against Helen!).

In this episode, during the "snooping" scene, Davis was definitely the "outsider", while Alex, Joe and Brian were like "family" to Helen.

Of course, my favorite part of this "Teddy" episode is the very end when Davis is saying good-bye to everyone.....when Joe is working on the plane and he gives that half-hearted, disgusted-looking wave to Davis....HILARIOUS! (During the Helen-Davis romance, Joe really had a chance to give us some very funny reactions)!
