View Full Version : Who eats KFC?

Mr. Stefani

Chickens are inquisitive and interesting animals and are thought to be at least as intelligent as dogs or cats. When in natural surroundings, not on factory farms, they form friendships and social hierarchies, recognize one another, love their young, and enjoy a full life, dust bathing, making nests, roosting in trees, and more.

The more than 700 million chickens raised each year for KFC aren't able to do any of these things. They are crammed by the tens of thousands into sheds that stink of ammonia fumes from accumulated waste; they are given barely even room to move (each bird lives in the amount of space equivalent to a standard sheet of paper). They routinely suffer broken bones from being bred to be top heavy, from callous handling (workers roughly grab birds by their legs and stuff them into crates) and from being shackled upside down at slaughterhouses. Chickens are often still fully conscious as their throats are cut or when they are dumped into tanks of scalding hot water to remove their feathers. When theyre killed, chickens are still babies, not yet two months old, out of a natural life span of 10-15 years.

I don't eat there anymore, or any other fast food for that matter. That is so f*cking cruel, the people who do that deserve to die. I hope one day nobody eats any kind of animal anymore, well at least not where they have to kill the animal. That is absolutley disgusting and evil, it should be against the law. I believe that qualifies as animal torture. I want to do the same process to the people who do that to the chickens and other animals.

I never ate chicken from KFC, not because the way they treat chickens, but just because I think they don't prepare them good.
Whenever my family goes there, I usually just eat the mash potatoes, mac & cheese, and their good muffins!!!

Everyone, let me tell you a story about cows.

Cows are raised on farms for many years. after awhile their owners get them fat. then they kill them and sell them to markets and restaurants and whatever so they can be put between buns along with tomatoes lettuce and onions and then be chewed up and devoured by people.

WHAT MAKES THIS STORY ANY DIFFERENT FROM WHEN THEY KILL CHICKENS!???????!!!!!

Brent88 - I knew how they killed animals. I meant that it is sad because I am an animal lover & don't like to see anything killed, but I wouldn't want to eat animals alive either.
And please don't use the "rolling eyes" symbol unless you know what the person means when they state something, okay.

Deserving to die for killing animals? we're omnivores. i think if someone killed an animal for no reason (not selling it to a company or eating it themselves or anything) THAT would be animal torture.

I look at it this way. We're all animals, right? Humans just happen to be on the top of the food chain. And, as animals and omnivores, what makes us different for killing cows, pigs, and chickens, than a tiger or lion killing another animal for food. We kill them for survival, not joy. The only thing that makes us different is that we have more advanced brains and consciouses.

You don't have to agree, that's just how I look at it.

Murder is murder, that's the way I look at it. Is it ok if I kill somebody because I have a craving for human flesh? No.

Yes, but not in the animal/human way. Animals and humans are complex beings, plants are not. Plants do not feel pain, the whole 'oh but plants are alive too!' arguement is so cliche and stupid. Yeah, ripping an apple off of a tree or pulling grass out of the ground is equal to brutally killing a chicken, cow, etc.

Um, that made no sense. But to give you an answer, no I really don't think I should give anything to the homeless or even care. Sure, it's sad they don't have anywhere to live but usually, not always, but usually the case is they put themselves there. When they turned sixteen they obviously had somewhere to live, considering you're still a minor at that age. Why couldn't this homeless person work two jobs, save up money for future use as opposed to having nothing and not wanting to work? Begging for money is stupid, if you want a buck these days you have to get off your butt and earn it.
