According to TV Guide, Christina Moore of "MAD TV" has been cast as the new Laurie.

I don't know who she is since I don't watch MAD TV but I don't like replacements.

I can't believe this crap is happening I mean why Laurie why not replace Midge instead...

I'm gonna miss Lisa Robin Kelly soooooo much! But at least they didn't pull something like casting a brunette.

It was not her choice to leave? That is a wierd decision by the show.

Didn't she have a drug problem or something? I thought that is why she was being replaced.

Supposedly, the reason she was first fired a few years ago was because of a drug problem. Then she returned last season and it was said that she kicked the problem. Now, the producers are saying her departure is mutual, and her spokeman has no comment. My guess: she didn't really kick the drug problem after all, or has had a relapse.

Who cares if she has a drug problem the show promotes drug use :rolleyes: plus as long as she can show up and do her job what does it matter what she does in her spare time... I have seen other cast menbers high on drugs too. I have seen pics of the cast with blood shot eyes and such and they aren't being replaced.. In the words of Bulldog Brisco "This is total BS!":mad:

I think that I remember reading that Laurie was only going to be in like 6 episodes this season. Not sure if that's true, but in that case, if the new Laurie sucks, we don't have to see that much of her.

However, what I've heard from people who have gone to the tapings and have seen her, she does a really good job.

I don't like it when shows use two actors for the same character but at least Christina Moore looks a little bit like Lisa Robin Kelly. It's not as close of a resemblance as the two Darrins on Bewitched but still...

if it's true what ~anni~ says about only 6 epis then I guess it won't be so bad... but still im pissed about Lisa leaving...:mad:

The show does not promote drug use. They do smoke on the show, but they do it because that was something that happened at the time. It matters if she does drugs becuase they are illaegal and dangerous. In any job, if they find out you use drugs they are probably going to fire you or at least make you go to rehab. When have you seen the other cast members "high on drugs"? Even if you have seen pics of them with bloodshot eyes it doesn't mean they are on drugs!

I know, I was talking about the cast members themselves. She was talking about the actual cast members doing drugs. I know the characters smoke pot!

Wow, she really resembles the original actress, doesn't she? (I guess the hair and makeup people helped, too). She only had one scene, though -- I'm guessing she'll be phased in gradually.

I don't know about her yet! She was alright! But I think you are right they will phase her in! She definetly was not in the show enough last night to really get a feel for her! Guess we will have to wait and see!

I don't understand why Lisa Robin Kelly couldn't say those few lines. She could sober up for 1 min :rolleyes: I'll be glad when the stupid clone laurie is gone.

Character changes are never good.I don't like a new Laurie it just isn't the same....unfortunately since they replaced her i bet she wil be in like every episode:( :mad:

yeah so do I she was way more evil this new laurie looks more slutty but the evil is just not there...

I noticed she didn't have very many lines. Her reactions are deadpan, not the evil Laurie sneer or that cute lip curl. This girl seems more wholesome, the old Laurie had a smokey sexy slutiness about her. This girl just sits there with no reaction to hydes insults.

the new lauri really sucks in the last episode when her and hyde were sitting at the table and he was callking her a slut and stuff she just sat there smiling i was mad cause the lauri i know and love would stand up for herself:D :rolleyes: :cool: :p

It's never a good idea to change a character.They should make her move away or something...I think the new Laurie was really bad move.That's why we won't see her that often!Well,I hope;)

no she does not look like the old laurie. i for one dont like the new laurie even though she hasnt been on that long. she doesnt have the bitchy attitude and shes not slutty enough :( i dont even see why they recasted her if shes not gonna be on the show :confused:

new laurie is hotter but a lot less threating, it aint the same, i hate it wen shows change charcters like that outta the blue, they just shoullda had here move to CA OR NY or sumthing

She definitely does NOT have the "edginess" LRK had..I don't like the new Laurie(no offense to the actress)

I think the new Laurie doeesn't lok that bad, at least her face seems much more smooth than Lisa Robin Kelly's since her face looks too rugged and too oily for me. However, Christina Moore was also on for 3 episodes of Just Shoot Me! in 1999 as Finch's old high school girlfriend and for 2 episodes of Becker in 2000 as one of Dr. Becker's patients. I think she could fill in the blanks for the show.

New Laurie is nooo good. Where is old Laurie ? Can't they tell she is different person ? How come Eric not know that isn't his sister ? She not Laurie. She different girl. Me no like.

Last night when she told Fez she wasn't a slut, and turned and told the cop she was just a girl who liked a good time... OMG she was NOT believable, the old actress would have carried that line better. I agree, this one doesn't have the nasty edge to her. You can't hate her like you could the old Laurie....
