It's such an easy mistake to make. You post something, and then want to make a quick edit, but hit the quote button because it's right next to the edit button. It's like your eyes plays a trick or something.
Then you have to clean up the second thread and write 'oops' or something else. I did it a few minutes ago, and I've done it several times before.
I can always tell when someone else has done it too.
It would be a good idea to not have those buttons so close together.

This would not be something that would be easy to fix right now, but hopefully it's changed in the next version of vbulletin.
If you accidentally hit the 'quote' button can't you just go and hit the 'back' button and be back where you started without having to make a 2nd post?

Thanks TJ.
The thing is, I don't realize that I've hit the wrong button until I've posted it. It's hard to explain, and is basically a senior moment, lol.
I have AOL, and I noticed that on the Mailbox section, the Delete and Check Status buttons used to be next to each other, but they've moved them apart. I never complained, but maybe others did. I would often try to check the status of an e:mail that I sent and accidently delete it. AOL is buggy, and you can't always retrieve it. I remember being happy when the two buttons were separated.
