View Full Version : Too Much Cheers..
Central Perk 10-28-2003, 06:41 PM Last night, I was pretty excited that Cheers was going to start airing on Spike TV especially because they were starting with the Rebecca Years. When the first episode started I immediately remembered the whole episode and had no interest to watch the episode, so I decided to watch something else. I decided to watch the second episode which was "I On Sports" (one of my favorites). I also became bored with it and decided to watch something else. Even though I haven't seen Cheers that much lately I almost feel like I've seen episodes too many times. Do you guys ever feel that you've seen too many Cheers episodes that they become somewhat boring to you?
Brian Damage 10-28-2003, 06:44 PM Not to me.
MaydayMalonesGirl 10-28-2003, 06:46 PM That's never happened to me. But I've seen most of the episodes only once or twice, and some I haven't even seen yet. Some episodes (like Showdown Part 2 :D ) I've watched 3 times in a row just because I like them so much. I didn't get bored with Showdown either, I ended up just memorizing it. lol
I don't think that will ever happen to me.... but who knows
Cheers, boring?!...............
Brian Damage 10-28-2003, 06:55 PM That's almost sacriledge!!!! ;)
Central Perk 10-28-2003, 07:39 PM Well, it's not that Cheers is really boring, it's just that I don't seem to want to watch the episode because I already know what happens. I think the reason might be because I've seen the Rebecca Years so many more times than the Diane years, and those are the episodes of Cheers that N@N usually plays, and now Spike TV is playing them too.

Yep, I know where you're getting at, so that's understandable. You just need a break from watching the Rebecca yars of "Cheers", is that kinda like what you're trying to say?
barwars 10-28-2003, 09:29 PM The only time I watched something over Cheers, was the episode where Carla finds out she's going to become a grandmother.
I watched Seinfeld instead, mainly because Ive the seen the episode so many times, and its one of my biggest gripes about the show that the storyline began and ended with that episode.
But besides that, Cheers.... boring....
my ass.
Dannie IsNotHere 10-28-2003, 09:39 PM Cheers will never be too boring for me. The only time I switch stations is when I just saw the episode about 2 seconds ago... or one I've seen about 4 times.
I NEED season 8 to come on!!! I'm missing a lot of those episodes!!! I lent a tape to my friend, and she accidently recorded over it!!!
MaydayMalonesGirl 10-28-2003, 09:39 PM Tonights episodes (Little Carla Happy at last parts 1&2) I've seen four times but I still love both parts of the episode. I don't think it's possible for me to get bored with any episode of Cheers. :)

Yeah, I think so. The Rebecca Years are my favorite but I think maybe I've seen episodes from those years too many times. I was originally glad that Spike TV was only going to play the Rebecca Years, but now I wish they were playing both years.
CheersChild4life 10-29-2003, 07:40 PM Bored....NEVER!!
FrithFan89 10-29-2003, 08:04 PM i know what you mean. it's like with taped episodes. after watching them 25 times they do start to get a little dull
