View Full Version : Girls Hitting On Guys?

I'm wondering how guys feel about being approached by women. Is it unladylike and overly agressive? If the man doesn't approach the woman does that mean that he's not interested most times? If you want a girl to ask you out what hints do you give?

It's a great feeling for us guys when a woman approaches us. Unladylike? No way. It's 2003. Women oughta be able to grab what they want & not wait. If the man doesn't approach her, he *could* just be shy or afraid. All is not lost! :)

Anyway, if I were hinting for it, I'd probably just show some interest. Talk to her at length. Ask her about things *She's* interested in...& smile a lot! That always goes a long way. :)

Yeah, I know. I think if I were a guy, it would seem weird to me. I personally don't do it, myself, because I am afraid of coming off manly (as Tim said)....I guess I'm just more old-fashioned. I still like the rules where the guy does the asking, the phone-calling, the paying for things, and stuff like that.

Me too. I'm too much of a princess, I guess. You know how we roll our eyes when a creepy guy hits on us, but they keep on trying....That must take time to get used to.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, either. I've done it a few times, and while it was pretty nerve-wracking, I was happy I'd done it.

damn....I do it all the time..with great results..why wait for the guy to make the move...when opportunity knocks...go for it..before it is too late...:)

When we first met, my wife asked me out. I wasn't sure she was interested and didn't want to look silly. At least I was the one who asked "Will you marry me?"

I see nothing wrong with a woman making the first move.
As Rickenbacker said, this is 2003.
Besides, why should men be the only ones to risk rejection?

I wouldn't mind, I'm so shy to go right up to a girl. So if she come's up to me.. I'd be preatty happy!

Give it a shot; what's the worst that could happen? Maybe you stub your toe and fall flat on your face, creating a head wound that lasts forever; maybe you're so nervous that you vomit on your clothes and are ridiculed for the next 20 years; maybe a snot blows out your nose and lands on the fair maiden, making her get her whole family to beat you up once a week until the Red Sox win the World Series......on second thought, remain alone and just dream of what could have been.

I think the guy should make the first move. Sure, it's old fashioned, but I dont want to put my butt on the line for a guy. lol

Me personally think that the guy should do the asking, the calling, and the paying for stuff. I guess I'm old fashioned too. But i also have a different way of looking at things: if the guy doesn't talk to me first, he's not interested.....i know it's wrong, but that's just me...............................

Haha! If girls waited for certain guys to come around, they'd be waiting until Jesus showed up.

This ain't the 60's anymore. Take a chance, make it happen.

What if a butt-ugly guy comes up to a girl. Is that still flattering? Damn, some people would be flattered if ANYONE came up to them. To certain people, looks don't matter.

Everytime I have liked a guy he has either ignored me or found someone else. Therefore, I wait until guys come to me.

No, it's disgusting because only the sexy women are allowed to approach men. The ugly ones are supposed to stay at home eating cartons upon cartons of Ben and Jerry's.

Those coyotes need to stay away from us dead sexy, good-looking people. Maybe we should ship them all off to Alaska where they would be under a heavy winter, coat all the time and no one would have to see them-LOL.

You annoy the crap out of me, you're a chauvinistic pig. I don't know why you haven't been banned, the majority of your posts are just disrespecting women. I can see your future 10 years from now, living in a trailer with a prostitute in which you beat every night.

I'm a lesbian and I think it's nice when guys ask me out, it makes me feel alot better about myself that at least some people like me. Good looking or not good looking, it's still a kind gesture.

 I never said I didn't, I just said it makes me feel better. I have disorders/problems and I don't find myself at all attractive and have social problems, there's nothing wrong with things bringing up your self esteem. It's normal.
