Rod Roddy's stint on Soap was the launching pad for a successful career in game shows. I remember he opened each episode by saying "This is the story of two sisters. Jessica Tate and Mary Campbell. These are the Tates. And these are the Campbells. And this is..SOAP!" He also brought viewers up to date on what happened on the last episode for those who missed it. Rod may be gone, but his voice lives in reruns.

How many people are going to die this year? It is really a shame.

I don't even want to think about it. I know it's a fact of life that everyone dies but this is too much. :(

At least he's in a better place now. That's some consolation.
