Hey everyone...People that know me..know that I live in San Diego...I live just fifteen miles away from Scripps Ranch..where the fire destroyed more than 200 hundred homes, right now another fire is threatening Rincon area....a lot of Evaucations everywhere..it is so sad and heart breaking..especially since it is so close to home...:(

Yep. I live close to Scripps Ranch but luckily my home isn't in any danger. The Santa Ana winds didn't pick up very much today but they are expected to blow south. Then there won't be so much smog and smoke-enriched air. I stayed home all day because it smelled terrible.

I know...especially Sunday...I had a headache from all the smoke..it was scary..to go out side and see all the thick, black smoke in the sky..and you couldnt go anywhere because a majority of the freeways in the SD county were closed, i.e. like the 52 and parts of 15, etc....

I saw a story about this on TV. That has to be one of the scariest and most heartbreaking events for the people involved. I hope everyone in SoCal stays safe.

That's terrible. :( I hope they can contain it before it destroys the whole southern part of the state, but most of all I hope it doesn't take any more lives.

Yeah I've heard, that's awful. Someone on tv said it was the biggest fire there's ever been there. I just hope it doesn't hurt anymore people or animals or anything. :(

Been doing that since the story broke out. They'll be in my prayers, don't worry about that. It's just awful.. :(

You should of seen Kelowna in the summer. Up here in BC, thousands were evacuated and tons of houses were destroyed. Damn fires...

I'm praying for the people there too. I hope they contain the fire soon. :(

I live about thirthy miles away from a few fire sites, and the smell and smoke is unbearable--- even though I live quite far from it. Sunday was the WORST, the whole sky was filled with thick smoke, the sun was bloody red, ugh, it was just terrible.

i live in southeastern arizona, if it spreads here i'd seriously have a freak attack cause i have major pyrophobia.

my heart gioes out to all of u in Cali. I hope you guys are safe!

I hope everyone is safe!! It's pretty gross. The smell is awful. They're evacuating the town next to us, and my sister's school is closed today (not sure about my school). I hope they get the fires under control soon.

Okay, no school today.

My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all the people affected by the fires.

Everytime I see another story on the news, my heart just breaks for all those people who have lost their homes. :(

I'm thinking about everyone affected by the fires constantly. The smell is so strong that you can smell the smoke at my school. My friend had to evacuate her home the other night because she lives on the canyons and the fire was really close. The hotels were all full, so she's staying at a shelter right now. Everytime it seems they have it under control, it spreads even more. My thoughts go out to the victims who not only lost their homes, but their loved ones. I really do hope the firefighters can tame the fires, so that no more lives are lost. :(
