did anybody else besides me find the subplot about the hot dogs stupid i mean when the cop came to the house he and archie were talking about hot dogs and were to get them right in the middle of glorias police report i mean say what you will about archie when it came to a member of his family being in trouble they came first and that even includes mike and esp. his little goil

Archie's a self-centered person. He has his "priorities." This shouldn't come as any surprise. The inane will take precedent over anything important so he doesn't have to really DEAL with the problems at hand on an emotional level. Remember....Archie is NOT GOOD with emotional issues! There are countless examples of this on the show. He's actually using a psychological behavior called "displacement."
