I was reading a thread about someone who was saying how annoying he thinks Mrs. Garrett is. FOL can be a lot of fun if you watch each episode thinking that Mrs. Garrett is drunk all the time. I'm sure Charlotte Rae was sober when she played her, but her mannerisms are really out there. Give it a try, and you'll see what I mean.

I know Mrs G was Drunk in Return of Mr Garrett, which was hilarious!!! But I don't get what you mean.

And she totally had a hangover in an episode of Diff'rent Strokes. I don't remember what it's called, but it's the one where she quits for, like, an hour. lol. I love that ep, esp at the end when Arnold convinces her to stay. Awwww...!

Yeah, but I think this post was all in fun...remember, he said it's fun to think that Mrs. Garrett (not Charlotte) is drunk. And I can see what he means, just by sometimes how her mannerisms and expressions are way out there, lol. But that's what helps define her as Mrs. Garrett---there's no one else out there like her! :)

I think that Mrs. Garrett does seem to be a little too much of a scatterbrain.
