My daughter is an only child and it would seem I always saying or doing something embarrasing to her! I've learned to buy her underwear when she isn't with me at least:rolleyes:

Somebody - either with girls her age or you girls that are "closer" to that age please give me some party ideas for a group of 11-13 yr olds...thanks:wave:

Wish I could help, but even when I was 12, I acted like I was older. And now I'm almost 24 and totally out of touch with 12 year olds. :lol:

I would imagine lots of 12 year olds are the same now. I wouldn't know *where* to begin either if hadda come up w/ a way to keep that age group interested.

Yep....she is 12 going on 18! During the last slumber party - her friends' maturity level had a pretty wide range. It is soooooooo hard to keep them all :lol: happy! One always ends up :mad: because she wants to do something the rest of them don't! :rolleyes:

There is always one that is accident prone and spills her drinks everywhere and drops food all over the place:eek:

Makes me:crazy: when she has these parties and parents neglect to pick up their kids on time. There is always one kid that ends up staying for dinner the next evening. Which is no big deal - other than it is always the messy kid:cool:

Well, I have a 12 year old sister myself...and her and her friends are freaking crazy...so I don't know, they like to be wild lol. I don't think it'd be too hard to let them find something do to on their own, that's what they usually do anyhow. Maybe find out what kind of music they like, I don't know lol, my sister and her friends are obsessed with Good Charlotte...

This is kind of a difficult question. I never really had 'Halloween Parties' besides the ones they through at School, but lets see...

In Sixth grade the kids were all 11-12 I think and they had a Party that included...

Everyone came dressed up.

They got all kinds of decorations (sprinkles, frostings, etc.) and we all got to decorate cookies 'Halloween' style. That was fun even at that age, but not be such a great idea with that 'messy' kid. lol

Then they just had various games for us to play. (Which I don't remember.) Bobbing for Apples, like Penny Lane already said is always a good one.

Is it a "co-ed" party? if it is, just leave them alone for the night.

When i was 12(by the way, im 14 now) I also had a halloween party. But i also had a little bro who was 3 years younger than me so there was a bunch of little kids there too, which made it kinda lame... but anyway, play good music, have great food and lotsa candy for the guest to take home. Do karaoke, watch scary movies, play games that offer prizes...oh yeah, don't supervise the girls the whole time because they wouldn't be able to do girlie things...and they will have more fun!

have everyone come in costume, some good music (halloween or otherwise- maybe have the girls bring CDs), no big organized games but leave that up to them and maybe have some board games, cards, etc..around for people who aren't dancing or talking, and rent some movies to have on hand just in case
