one of the discs is loose and scratched???

This just happened to me- I shelled out $85 for Battlestar Galactica (it's ok, you can laugh) and disc four slides out all cool and calm and presents itself to me with a few nice scratches.

Totally ruined my return to childhood 70s dorkdom.
I can't even bring myself to watch the other discs.

Did you ever get a loose DVD and what happened when you returned it?

I got the collector's set of Doctor Zhivago and it arrived all screwed up - the box was torn and the disc was scratched. I sent it right back where it came from and got a full refund, no prob. (I went and bought it the next day from the Barnes and Noble in perfect condition). Normally businesses are pretty fair about returning damaged items - through mail or store-bought.

This wasn't a box set, but I did get Sweet Smell of Success and the disc was loose. I haven't even watched it yet.

I've had worse I bought When Harry Met Sally on DVD and when I opened it it was completely empty no disc at all LOL I went back and they gave me another one
