This is important in my line of thinking. Life has change since 1980. School shootings and other things could be portraed nicely in a new FOL series with a fresh cast and a new storyline. It is imparative that we write to the network and tell them(nicely) to not wast money on a reunion in witch they kill off my Jo and start makeing plans to make a new series.please think about it.

This is a good topic to think about, but I highly doubt that they will make a new FOL series..

It is about ninety percent confirmed that Jo will be killed in the reunion, so I doubt that they will make such sudden changes..

If you want the original cast (Lisa, Nancy, Kim, Mindy..) to return, then I am almost positive it won't happen.

If your talking about a new group of girls or the cast's children, then I don't think that will happen either. Not only would it be hard, but I don't think any of the networks would go for bringing a 80's sitcom back to life..

Plus, from what I know of the reunion will begin production in the summer. But I highly doubt there will be a new series..it was a good suggestion though..

Well, think it would be a good idea to have a new series that represents the "Facts of Life" but it should be a show of its own with a different title and not a spinoff of the original series. I think that most people have a hard time accepting new cast members playing on a new version of the same series (take for example, the casting changes in "Saved By the Bell."...or better yet, compare "The New Leave it to Beaver" to the original one....although there were some fans of "The New Leave it to Beaver" most people by far preferred the original one).

As for the reunion movie of FOL, I honestly wish it wouldn't happen- I always get disappointed with reunion movies, and killing off Jo in the upcoming reunion movie would only make it worse.

What if we were to get a petition started? They would have to listen then,right?

Well, I don't know about the new series thing. I bet they could base a series on 'The Facts of Life', but not connected to it in anyway or anything like that. Because like Fol and DS fan said, look how people responed to Saved by the Bell: The New Class.(That sucked completely!) And even though I enjoyed The New Leave It To Beaver, it was clearly not the original.
About the reunion, I don't have much to say about that. I said my peace about that topic a looooooooong time ago, and frankly I don't care if they have a reunion or not...

A series with the same idea would be a good idea, but using the original name would just be terrible! There's only one Facts of Life and one cast and that's all there is to it!

I like that idea:A new sit com like FOL but with a new storyline and name! OK every one start letting the world know what we want.
