Nope Im Not talking about the Old Nickelodeon Show. Is anyone here actually afraid of the dark? I Can be sometimes when i think about or watch something freaky, But for the most part i actually enjoy the dark In My House anyway. Outside is a different story....

I love the dark, outside and inside! I like it better then light. Light is to bright! :lol:

The dark doesn't really bother me, unless I am at home at night but myself, then I start to hear things.:eek:

I'm not really afraid....I just hate it when it's pitch black and silent. Thats why I hafta fall asleep with my TV on

It has to be pitch black for me to fall asleep, but if it's dark any other time, I'm scared of it.

Yeah, same here...except I have a small light on. :p

I like it especially ouside in the fall when there is a full moon. The only time I don't like it is like Chad said when something scary was just on TV. When that happens I just like to go to bed and hide under the covers and stay there till morning.

Me too. I have to flip my alarm clock over and cover my vcr clock up because of the glow.

Depends on where the dark is. Dark alleys...no way. Warching TV in the dark...luv it.

I like the dark inside, but not outside (like when you're in the yard, or forest or whatever...) cuz there's bugs everywhere, and someone might be out... (someone dangerous)

Outside is Ok too earlier at night, but later i just dont go out because it is kinda Scary, too many weirdos out.

I have trouble admitting this, but I'm terrified of the dark inside unless I'm trying to sleep. I don't mind it outside though.

I'm afraid of the dark if I'm alone outside. Inside, I'd be afraid to be home alone in the dark, but it wouldn't happen because I turn the lights on. :lightb:

For sleeping, I have room darkening shades and my drapes have a light blocking backing on them. I fall asleep with the TV on, but he shuts it off after I'm asleep.

I need TOTAL darkness while sleeping in the morning. My bedroom looks like a cave before I open the shades and drapes.

YES. not when i'm trying to sleep (even though when im asleep i just need a little light, it cant be pitch dark) but i cant stand being alone in the dark. you never know what could happen and i dont mean im scared that the boogy mans gonna jump out at me but after all the ghost stories ive heard, you never know what could happen.

I really think my mom comes in my room at night to protect me since im so scared of the dark.. every night at about the same time i feel something come in my room and i kind of get chills when i feel it pass by me. pretty sure its her.

I think so too Sarah. She's looking out for her little girl. ;)

I'm not... I only use light when I am reading or something like that. When I'm on the computer or watching TV, the light is off and I like it dark. I sleep in the pitch dark too.

when i'm alone usually yes

Generally, it's not a big deal for me. But if I've been watching a scary movie and I'm trying to get some sleep, my imagination starts up and.. it's not a good thing. If the power goes out and it's completely quiet and dark at night, makes me nervous.

It just depends on what situation I happen to be in.

I love going to sleep after a horror movie! :D It's because I've been watching them for so long. I just get use to it. I love watching "Halloween" on Halloween night at like 11:00 so it'll be done by 12:30. It's great! :D

Sometimes I'm afraid of the dark when I'm in the kitchen near the basement. In my old house I couldn't leave the basement door open without feeling very afraid. I had to close it all the time. Sometimes even during the day. I always find places like the basement scarier at night.

I am afraid of the dark. I went to therapy because of it. My therapist showed me a touch therapy and when I was in that state of mind she let me call her around 10:00pm and she walked me throught it and I was actually able to sleep peacefully that night. It is not so bad now but I did get a Husky after my hubby took a job that required nights.
The worst part about where I live is the cemetery across the street. I love living on a dead end street with 8 houses on one side cemetery on the other except when people drive around in there at night. I just think that is wrong. Now I do not mind people walking walking around in there at night cause I did it too but just park your car at the bottom of the hill and be respect to the neighbors and the dead.

Yes and no. When Im home alone, ideas start running through my head like crazy and all I picture is that damn clown coming to get me. Yowza!:eek: Ill usually take Taco up to bed with me to keep me safe, or Ill sleep on the couch...:o. Other than that, it has to be pitch black when Im sleeping.

I will! I'll watch it at 9-10 on Friday and then watch Halloween! And BTW it says in your location your in Haddonfield, don't go out on Halloween ;)

That sounds like a great idea! Make sure every light in the house is turned off - that'll make watching Session 9 even better. Had me looking over my shoulder the whole time. :eek:
