I recently picked up yet some more Lucy Show DVDs! These were definitely worth it though, quite a few eps I don't have currently. Anyway...the brand is Diamond Entertainment. They are the only Lucy Show DVDs that I have seen thus far, that have the actual "official" DVD Video symbol on them, as opposed to basic font "DVD". They also say Digitally Restored and Mastered. Well...there is less film scratchiness than others, but there is hardly anything "digitally mastered" about them...anyway, I got a single disc one, with a few eps. Then the main one, the 2-disc set. Among the less commonly released episodes include:
"Mooney the Monkey"
"Main Street, USA"
"Lucy the Star Maker"
"Lucy and Robert Goulet"
"Lucy the Fight Manager"
"Lucy Meets Sheldon Leonard", etc..
The only eps that weren't included, and I wish they would have been were "Lucy and the Ring a Ding Ding" and "Lucy and the Submarine". Other than that, they're awesome and I recommend anyone living in the Midwest - rush to Meijers and get 'em!
"Sheldon Leonard" is probably the best California ep I've seen so far. Priceless. The audience practically applauded Lucy's every word!
"Mr. Mooney...I'm gonna take 10 more minutes on my coffee break and you just THINK about that!"
