I like his character on this show. What's his character's name? He rarely plays a good guy on tv & the movies. I'm glad to see Ice T is making some serious money. He's done a lot of straight to video movies & he has his own clothing line called Icewear. A lot of rappers don't know what they're gonna do when their careers are over so i'm glad to see he decided to do acting. I loved the part in New Jack City movie when he was beating Wesley Snipes ass. Surviving The Game is one of my favorite Ice T movies also & i liked him in Ricochet with Denzel Washington.

I have loooooved all the L&O series since the beginning. Call me slow, though, when it comes to Ice T LOL! For some reason it is only recently that he hit me right between the eyes! :lol:

I have not seen any of his movies, but on L&O SVU, his talent as an actor is breathtaking--what little we get to see. He has such a distinctive voice and look, and his face can be soooo expressive! I think he is grossly underused in the plot lines where he gets any screen time at all. :confused:

I looked up the lyrics to his songs online, and--while I am not crazy about the way he expresses himself (profanity, etc.)--I am glad to see that someone in the rap world has been speaking out against the posturing and violence so rampant in our society. His work on SVU is just an extension of that message, and I agree it is great that he has found a forum beyond rap.

But I was shocked to discover he is older than I am LOL! :happyface

Saw a good episode of SVU with IceT last week. He was a helping a former drug addict find their missing kid. it was a good episode.

I watch a lot of SVU reruns and I've seen a commerical for a new show called touching evil? i don't know if its going to be good though, anyone know what I'm talking about?

He is one of the few singers that really can act!! He ironically wrote a song and rapped it back in 1991 called "Cop Killer" and police all around the country protested against the release!!

I remember all the media attention that song got. that is pretty ironic.

Van Smack i saw that episode you're talkin about where Ice T helped Gloria Reuben find her kid. I've seen previews for Touching Evil recently. It looks alright but i probably won't watch it. Ice T is the man & he's the realest rapper ever. I used to have all his albums but my favorite one by him is Home Invasion which came out in 93. MariposaLKB u need to rent some of his movies like New Jack City, Surviving The Game, Ricochet. Those are his best. He does so many straight to video movies. Everytime i go to Blockbuster Video, i see so many movies with him on the shelf LOL. I know he's gettin paid regularly. He really doesn't need to act anymore cause he can live off the money he's gettin from all the straight to video movies he's done. He's done about 100 LOL.

Ice T was also on a short lived NBC series called Players with Louis Mandalor about 3 ex-cons who were hired as undercover cops. He was the best thing about that show, you knew NBC were looking for another vehicle for him.

The pairing of Ice T and Richard Belzer is the most inspired casting on TV.

When I first started watching the show, I thought it was the worst casting of all time, because I couldnt take him seriously as a cop, but then you realize that he was from narcotics, and he is extremely useful because inner city people will talk to him etc.

I really liked Surviving the Game! That is worthy of purchase!
