I watched this one a few days ago, and it was about the murder of jacqueline dowaliby, the cops thought the dad did it. He was sent to prison for 16mths and then was exonerated for lack of evidence and due to his wife's fierce campaiging. later, turned out that his brother had murdered the little girl. I never got what the motive for that was.

Then I saw another episode yesterday about these two friends who were driving home late night from a bar and this creepy looking guy with glasses was following them for over 10 miles and eventually, the male friend parked his car and came out then was talking to the creepylooking guy and the weird thing was, the creepy looking guy said something and pointed at the woman friend's license plate. I forgot what it said. then the male friend told the creepy looking guy to "get the f--- out of here!" He was promptly shot to death. The puzzling thing about this case was how there was no clear motive for the murder of this guy. The creepy looking guy didn't want money and he didn't want to rape the woman or anything, he just shot her friend and then they stared at each other for about 10-15 minutes and then he drove off. I swear, that creepy face is something I'll always remember!

I saw these two cases as well. I'm still baffled on what the motive was for Mr. Dowaliby's brother to murder Jacqueline. Could it be that the brother had a history of crime, had major disputes with the family and decided to kill Jacqueline in retaliation or any other reason?

As for the two friends who were stalked by a driver on the freeway, that is indeed very creepy. Could the stalker have known the male friend or was he looking for somebody to stalk?

At least the woman survivied that night but her male friend wasn't so lucky :(

Yes and yes, I remember those.

I'm glad Jaclyn's parents were exonerated. They didn't do it. But it was the father's brother? I didn't know that. I gotta look into that. I'm glad that the murder was solved. (BTW it is spelled Jaclyn and not Jacqueline like you and I thought) :)

The second one was so creepy. That actor was 10 times creepier than the drawing of the suspect (a rarity). I remembered his scary glare at the female friend just after he shot the victim for years and years, until I saw the case again about 4 months ago.

EDIT: apparently the witness who thought she saw David Dowaliby by the murder scene was mentally unstable. *sighs*

I don't seem to remember the update saying that David's brother was indeed the killer. I think that the update only said that his brother's alibi was not valid, and that it added a new twist on the case. They did say that there are no plans to file charges against David's brother.

I've seen other shows about this case and the movie about it (it aired on Lifetime not too long ago). As you may remember, David Dowaliby wasn't Jacqueline's birth father but he adopted her after him and her mother were married. The other show I saw about it and even the movie claimed that Jacqueline's birth father's brother was the one who killed her and that he was mentally unstable. So it was her uncle, just on another side of her family. I don't remember why he was never charged (probably not enough evidence) but it seemed like there was a scene at the end of the movie where, after the father was released from prison, they explained to the parents why they weren't going to arrest the uncle but I can't remember why. Please anyone else feel free to add if you remember anything additional. I also remember that Shannen Doherty played Jacqueline's mother in the movie and Dixie Carter played David Dowaliby's mother.

From what I recall, I saw this episode Monday night, was that David's brother was the killer. I think they arrested him, too. But I can't remember if charges were filed against that guy or not. I could be wrong, though, it could have been the biological father's brother. In either case, there was definitely an update on one of the uncle's being Jaclyn's killer.

In the Case of the Dowaliby's, what I would like to know is who broke the basement window. I believe that both Cynthia and David were innocent, but how the heck could a basement window get broken in the middle of the night and nobody hear it?

The case involving the driver chasing the man and woman, that irks me. The theory is that he was a disgruntled fan. The woman was a San Francisco 49ers fan and her licence plate read - "49ER HUGS." The killer continued to point to the back of her car before he shot the victim - Dick Hanson. I really hate to even think that a stupid a*s and disgruntled fan would shoot a man in cold blood over a sports team. What a sad world we live in.

The man believed to be the killer was Cynthia's ex-brother-in-law, who is a paranoid schizophrenic. (It was mentioned that Cynthia had a previous marriage before she met David.) According to the update, there were no plans to file any murder charges against this former brother-in-law. And I'm guessing it's because doing so would require an admission of error. In other words, the Disctrict Attorney's office apparently doesn't want to admit that they had made a mistake in prosecuting David Dowaliby, who was obviously innocent.
