I just watched this for the first time last night and am so glad this was included in the Season 1 set. It was so strange seeing Rob, Ritchie, Buddy, and Sally but played by different actors! Was the wife's name Laura? I can't remember. This may have been discussed before but what did everyone think of the show? I guess it's hard to be objective being so familiar with the second cast, but the writing was definitely there--I thought it was really funny. Watching the short extra with Carl Reiner talking about it, he said that he had no interest in returning to the idea when the pilot didn't sell but others persevered because they thought it was a great idea--Thank God for those people! Even in it's rough form, it was still totally different than other shows of the time. I like when Carl Reiner said that the network didn't think his character should be a comedy writer and why didn't he make him an insurance agent! :lol:
