Okay, my sis and I have talked about this a lot many times before. There is NEVER any mention about how old the trio is in ANY season. However, judging by all their convos, especially, in the first two seasons, Mrs. Roper calls them "kids." To me, that's implying they are young.

My opinion and from what I can gather, in the beginning they are supposed to be in their early 20s. What do you all think? :D

I read they were supposed to be in their mid 20s in the beginning of the show, and early 30's at the end. :)

Well, the trio was way younger than the Roper's and Mr.Furley so being referred to as "kids" is a way of an older person referring to a younger person. In the beginning of the season, Janet was the youngest at 27, Jack was 28 and Chrissy was 30. At the end of the seaon they were all in their mid 30's.

Don't forget the others- Suzanne left TC in 1981, so she wasn't really a part of the cast when it ended in 1984. :)

Are you saying that Chrissy was the oldest? I always thought that Jack was the oldest. Chris sure ddin't look OR ACT like the oldest.

Think of it this way... Suzanne is 57 and John would be 55...

Maybe I'm confused here. Are you talking about their characters ages or their ages in real life? From the first thread on this post it sounded like their ages in character.
