What does everyone think of it so far? I think its hilarious so far :rotflmao: , and I love the new panelists, but my favs are still Hal Sparks, Mo Rocca, Micheal Ian Black and Rich Eisen!

It's okay, I can't stand Michael Ian Black or Donal Logue.
Their comments are really crude and offensive to me.

I do enjoy Hal Sparks though, except, he needs a shave.

I love it so far! Of course, you know, VH1's running it into the ground (when I went to tv.yahoo.com to look up the listings, I found 103 matches for "I Love the 80's Strike Back!" :crazy: ), but I'm taping it anyway and I'm NOT going to watch VH1 after that. :lol:

I love it so far. When I first heard about this Strikes Back thing I had no idea what it could be. Could they possibly talk about MORE things from the 80's. Well, they can! The interviews are so funny, especially Michael Ian Black and Hal Sparks. I LOVE those guys! I can't wait until tonight. I do have a test I need to study for though, I hope I can work around it. Then again they repeat these shows all the time.

I saw it on VH1 last night and it was great. I hope that "Full House" will be in the "I Love the 80's Strikes Back" on the year 1987 probably on Thursday. I saw the one from 1980 includes the movies I like or don't like. The best movie from 1980 is "Flash Gordon" and the worst movie of them all is "Friday the 13th". They had the TV shows like "Too Close for Comfort", "Eight Is Enough" and of course other cartoon favorites from Saturday morning like "Plastic Man" and "Richie Rich" which was usually on right after "Scooby and Scrappy-Doo." I like the 1981 in the second of the 10-part series features the best movie "Endless Love" and the worst was "Mommy Dearest" and others including the cartoon "Smurfs" and the song by Rick James was "Super Freak". I like to watch 1982 and 1983 tonight.

Its so sick. They mentioned The Cure "Boy's Don't Cry" as one of the best breakup songs of 80'. Its just insane.

Hal Sparks and the guy from Ed annoy me to no end. But I like the show anyways.

Having Chris Jericho As A Panelist Was Pure GENIUS. :D

Tonight has reminded me of my obsession with all things Annie, that "Jack and Diane," and "Gloria" were my favorite songs that year and that I sure do wish I could be 8 years old again. I'm having fun. ;)

I've seen the film but I have the original movie on video as well as the 1999 Disney remake with Kathy Bates. I have both the original cast album on cassette and on vinyl. It was from the 1977 Broadway Musical before the movie was made about 6 years later. I remember back a long time ago back in 1992. I was in Pennsylvania with John Ryan at camp, I saw a rare plastic video disc version of the original "Annie" on both disc. That was a rare find. It also includes a wide video disc machine that you can put it in. That extremely rare. It's going to be a collector's item.

To get back on the "Annie" situation, I actually saw a clip from the "I Love the 80's Strike Back" 1982 episode. I saw that too. Here's the picture that I dug through my record collection is the original Broadway cast from 1977. I bought it at a yard sale last summer.

I remember that in the film "A Christmas Story", a little boy was listening to a radio show from the 30's called "Little Orphan Annie" that at the end of the radio show, he decided to write the secret code numbers on it and while he was cracking the code, the other guys in the room knocking on the door and say "Will you come out of the room please!", and he said "I'll be right out!" and then he kept thinking and thinking about trying to write the words in the numbers on the code and after that he finish write the secret code, he read the words "BESURE TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE". It's been a tradition, even before TNT began airing their marathons, to watch A Christmas Story.

That's got to be one of the funniest moments, especially with his expression. :lol: "I'll be in out in a minute, for crying out loud!"

As I was saying, Jean Shepherd died the same year as the Disney version of "Annie" came out before that.

I absolutely loved Annie. That movie came out when I was 5 and I still remember going to see it at the movie theater. My sister and I were definately obsessed with Annie for many years. We would always "play" Annie and pretend to be orphans who were escaping the orphanage and running away from Ms. Hannigan. And we knew all the words to "It's a Hard Knock Life."

This show brings back so many memories yet I was young enough that some of the things I don't remember at all. I watched Fraggle Rock all the time and loved it but I had no memory of that made-for-tv movie "The Day After"

As I was watching last night in the 1982 episode, does the song "It's A Hard Knock Life" was a song before they sampled into a rap song by Jay-Z? I've never heard that rap song since it was featured the movie "Austin Powers in Goldmember". Minnie Me was singing that song.

My friends used to play Annie every single day after school, and then again on the weekends! :lol:

I only remember seeing parts of The Day After. I think they're doing a better job this time around with Strikes Back series, and I'm having so much fun. :lol:

Oh well--they did talk about them a few times on the original I love the 80s. I do like the first better, but this ones pretty entertaining, especially after 83. You'd have to figure that a lot of the best would be done first anyways, but they are doing a decent job of bringing up new important stuff that could have easily been talked about originally.

For the original, they were mentioned a bit in 82 and also in 83. I finally saw the original 82-85 shows last week, but I did miss some of 84 so Duran Duran could have been mentioned then too. If so, 3 years is awesome. Heck, the 2 I saw was good enough, so I'm cool with no mentioning of them in the new. (I'm not a TOTAL fanatic. ;) ) It's actually nice to see all new material this time around.

Yeah, and it's gonna drive me nuts waiting! I bet it'll take forever now that they have the new one. I didn't get VH1 at my house until last month and never went to any friend's houses that had VH1 to see the original when it was played and played. I still have more episodes to see! And I haven't even caught any of the 70s one. Oh well... I'll get there.

I've haven't been posting the 80's stuff that I saw on VH1 since about a week ago. The one's that I saw was 1989. I saw a clip from "When Harry Met Sally" the movie that I haven't watched it yet. I saw the part that Meg Ryan was trying to make fun of you know what. That reminds me from one of the Herbal Essences commercials.

The best episode is 83, wif Snausages and Yentl... holy mother of God, Yentl is hysterical. Or at least the way they talk about it. And... ahh. It's the best show ever (next to Survivor, of course).

I also saw the part for example 1987 includes the movies "The Princess Bride", "Flowers In the Attic" and others. Plus games like one of the most better games in the world "Scruples" with songs from '87 like Genesis "Land of Confusion" and Salt & Pepa's "Pushin'" and one of my favorite shows "Full House". I like that part which they had a dumb dog was saying "SNAUSAGES!!!" That was so funny. They had those famous current celebrities had eating Snausages. I watched Iluvthe80s when they aired all of them at once, and by that time I was pretty sick of the 80s. I liked seeing Jem again and all that kind of stuff I watched when i was little. I can still remember a lot of the fashion and stuff that we didn't get around here untill the early ninties! I do like Hal and some of the other people that I can't remember, but I wanted to hurt that red-headed guy. Everytime he was on, I was like shut the f up!
