View Full Version : N@N Skipping "Black Eye Affair" Again?
hojni 10-18-2003, 02:39 PM I just checked the satellite schedule for some season 4 & 5 episodes that I'm missing and it looks like N@N is skipping episode 78, "Black Eye Affair" again.
Anybody know why that might be? Is it offensive? Does anyone have an e-mail address for N@N where I can send a message letting them know that we would like to see all of the episodes?
Chocoholic 10-18-2003, 05:20 PM I don't remember anything offensive about that episode. I don't know why they have to skip them. That's one of my favorite episodes.
pilotguy 10-24-2003, 11:44 AM I checked the NICK AT NITE online schedule, and they also show the episodes going from "An Affair To Forget" (tonight) to Part 1 of "Joe Blows" (tomorrow).
I really don't why they're not showing "Black Eye Affair"...I've never seen that one, but it sounds very funny. (And of COURSE it's going to mess up my "consecutive episode" taping)....
On the positive side, "An Affair To Forget" is a great episode....Not only does it feature Crystal Bernard doing a HILARIOUS "drunk" bit, as well as Tim Daly doing one of his funny "Joe sitting back and smugly enjoying everyone else's misery" bits, but this is also one of the very few episodes where Farrah Forke actually made me laugh out loud! (Her flopping on the bed, staring at the ceiling and mock, monotone, deadpan, bored-sounding sounds of lovemaking ("Oh Baby, you know what I like", etc.) are SO funny....one of the funniest things that she ever did on the series!)
peter may 10-24-2003, 01:20 PM this episode has been shown already though on Nick so its not as though they have never shown it heres the list of episodes that aired in the marathon back in april. "black eye affair" is listed., maybe what they do its part of some nick@nite holiday block?

yeah, I've never seen "Black Eye Affair" either!
and yes, "An Affair To Forget" is VERY funny! Helen is HILARIOUS when she's drunk. and I do love how Joe just kind of "sits back, smugly enjoying everyone else's misery", as you put it. hehe.
and I agree about Alex in this episode- I think that part you mentioned was one of the only times that she ever made me laugh out loud. lol! Farrah Forke did a good job with that. hahaha.
Adamantium 10-24-2003, 04:16 PM Black Eye Affair was meant to air in the marathon, but at the last minute was replaced by "The Story of Joe". I'm guessing it was because Norm and Cliff were guest stars. To my knowledge, it's never aired on N@N. But of course, I could be wrong.
hojni 10-25-2003, 02:52 PM I have tracked or recorded every episode shown on N@N, including all marathon blocks and am pretty sure that they have never shown it.
Does anybody have a really good copy of "Black Eye Affair" that they would be willing to loan me in exchange for a DVD with "An Affair to Forget", "Black Eye Affair", "Joe Blows (1)", and "Joe Blows (2)"?
I watch on a 50" TV, so the copy has to be really, really good. Ideally a 1st generation copy SVHS or VHS off satellite feed or digital cable. The DVD I would give you in exchange shows all four episides seperately in the menu, includes all beginning and ending credits, and has all commercials removed (except the N@N promos that superimpose over the end credits).
Again, I am not selling copies of my DVDs, but will trade in exchange for the few episodes that I am missing. Respond to this thread if interested and we can trade e-mail addresses.
